No, I kind of thought so too.  I mean OK in the OK for Star Trek sense rather than the OK for "good writing" sense.

I actually applauded in my living room when Paul Kinsey came onscreen in full Krishna drag.  That was glorious.

It's full of great, ominous lines:

I think Come Dancing might qualify— it's not exactly tragic, but it's certainly wistful in that Ray Davies way.  Yet quite bouncy as well.

Yeah, what the fuck is with that commercial?  It really pisses me off because when it comes on, I start singing along, and then feel like a dunce for singing along to a soccer-mom commercial about SUVs.

As one of the Connecticut Frisbees, I'll not stand for anyone linking our good name with vulgar entertainments, wordplay, OR gin.

Oh my God, the donor was alive?  That's monstrous!

I haven't heard it in years, but I think I can still recite "The Grace L. Ferguson Airline and Storm Door Company" by heart:

I thought Inland Empire had some extraordinary sequences, and Laura Dern ought to have won something.  But the Academy voters were never going to get past the first fifteen minutes or so of this one.

The miniseries is gawdawful, and slavishly faithful to the book, yeah.  That said, some things work far better on the page than they do on film.  King's dialogue is always problematic, and that's a lot easier to take in print form than spoken aloud.

Thanks @avclub-8485e79dd4e6b0d529430cf3d37f1498:disqus !  There's also an interesting reading of Marienbad based on its similarities with an Argentine science fiction story called "The Invention of Morel".  I haven't read the story and can't really judge the connections, but there's an essay here that goes into it

I do think Marienbad actually does have a story, though it's definitely obscurely presented.  I won't deny it can be a difficult and even quite frustrating film.  But there's a quality to it that makes me return to it.
