I just wanted to make a lame "bump"/pregnancy pun; the finer details of foreign policy-making aren't that familiar to me, though I am aware that Ron Paul is pro-life.

Would Enter The Void have received the award for 2010?

It's good that she's enjoying the bump, because if elected Ron Paul would rescind her right to have that little bump aborted.

Well, this is clearly more of an opinion piece rather than an attempt at a comprehensive list capturing North American interests at large, but I agree that the video game entries on the list had me a bit puzzled. The follow-up to a title that was poorly-received in a series that has failed to really capture people's

I would agree with you if Minecraft wasn't released in 2011 as well.

While I agree that the "Have a seat, ma'am" response strains the suspension of disbelief, this isn't a case of inconsistency since the woman insisted to speak with Deb directly.

    Here's another:

Though "PQ is only sort of real Canadian," it's also the origin of poutine. Mind blowing, no?

It's "The Simpsons" PLURAL, not POSSESSIVE. GAAAHRHRHRRHAAAH.

Surprise plot twist: LaGuerta is actually just a figment of Deb's imagination!

I'm pretty sure that Chris Cornell album (produced by Timbaland) got a D-. Apparently, this album is even worse.

I feel very much the same way; I thought the trailer for Drive was
AWFUL and I'm surprised to see it getting decent reviews. The "dirty
hands" line in the trailer seemed particularly groan-worthy to me.

D+ in my books. It's not that it wasn't sci-fi enough, it's that the "second Earth" premise really had very little to do with the movie, other than occasionally adding some "ooh, how DEEP" moments when you see the protagonist's reflection in the train window beside her. All of the pseudo-philosophy lite tidbits

I thought it was more of a matter of "confirming things we should have already been suspecting" rather than "telling us things we already knew."

    Pycelle
I can't say I considered this episode much of a "character shift" for Pycelle. He always seemed like a doddering old asshole to me, and this episode just lets him be a bit more overt about it since he's advising the Lannisters now rather than Ned Stark. When the character was first introduced I thought to

Remove the period at the end of the URL.

It should be pretty obvious that yes, I've seen the opening credits. I agree that it's a decent opening credits sequence and it does a great job of setting the mood for what follows, but I still wouldn't rate the use of Bowie's 'Deranged' as one of the -best- examples of the use of music in film. It's fairly effective

I don't deny that there are better songs in the film, but we're not talking about the quality of the song here; we're talking about how well the particular song was used. Deranged was just opening credits/closing credits. Is that particularly interesting or poignant? Rammstein's eponymous tune evokes a sense of

    Lost Highway
When Rammstein starts playing during the "porno" and hallway scenes… heavy-handed, a bit, it seemed like a great fit to me.

    @John89
Why do you think he didn't "actually" die? If it's someone's "dying hallucination"… well, that means they die.
