Holy shit!
OMG its a trailer that's been online for weeks!

Aww
I will miss Joel. I was wondering why he got a clips package during the last week of shows, and I assume this is why.

Yes but my reasoning is that Janus has Criterion to prop them up. Though perhaps the reason they've stayed around is that they only release classics which are generally low-cost profit machines.

Janus?
I think the only people to fill this hole (besides the afformentioned Milstone) is Janus Films. While they've only done revivals, this year they aquired "Revanche" and it got nominated for a Best Foreign Film Oscar. I think with the backing of Criterion and Rialto, they could perhaps be a more secure

That's true, but when I write message board code, I like to be as innacurate as possible.

The David Gordon Green Effect
I became an East Bound & Down superfan this week. I found the pilot suffered from slight ineptness in Jody Hill's filmmaking (as I did with The Foot Fist Way), which detracted from the strong writing and improv. But with this episode, the combination of the fine writing, and Green's

Not unwelcome.
I mocked mine up since the band and title worked so well together.
As for the picture…

Baseball
I've been waiting for the 1864 Baseball remote to play all week and had a hunch they'd save it for the last night. So glad to hear Conan say it's his favorite piece because I've had a copy of it on my computer for years and it never fails to make laugh like hell.

Brooksian
I think it's by far the best looking movie Apatow's done, which make sense since it was shot by Janusz Kaminski (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, most Speilberg), and it looks like Apatow is slowly starting the process of turning into his idol James Brooks. He's mentioned many times that one of his

I see how it is…
So you can liveblog the Oscars but you can't do a year end reader's film poll? Isn't that a promise when you begin an "annual" reader's poll? Isn't it a promise that it will appear every year? It seems to me, that the "club" has severed its promise with the American people (no one else matters), and

Really?
He has to pay to replace the clothes of the chick from The View who doesn't know whether the world is flat? Her?

Every Time I Wake Up
I was very interested in the movie, and so after it played TIFF and sat on the shelf, I succumbed and downloaded a relatively poor quality version that had somehow leaked. I saw, I enjoyed a little end then came to the realization that it was an absolute mess, and a bad one at that.

Unfortune
It's a shame none of these four ever took off on SNL or did any other projects like movies, or a comedy rap albums that took America by storm (no, not storm, that's too much…took America by a light breeze and sprinkling showers? Is that an expression, I digress.)

Kelley
I think the Kelly/Kelley thing might have been inspired by the ongoing confusion of how you spelle Pam's last name. On the show, and off it's been spelled Beesly and Beesley. A very complicated in-joke, this episode.

Rise of the Dushku
There seems to be a sudden resurgence in the presence of Eliza Dushku, and I think I know why. Boobs. Every time I've seen her recently in ads or on TV, she's either been naked, or not wearing a bra and on Conan her ladies were prominently displayed. I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand,

Or is it Grimly?
The Grimley photo was her wallpaper, not her screen saver.

Yes BHIG, he does.

But why?
Why on the heels of the ground breaking cinematic experience that was "The Longshots" and the upcoming also masterpiece "The Education of Charlie Banks," would Monsieur Durst leave the warm of the bastion of critical and commercial love that he's enjoyed, the film festivals, the awards, the cover story in

Colbert lost spoken word!
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRREEEEEEEEE!
