There's a pretty good chance of that. My only point is that if you're going to be a thieving jackass taking money from the easily impressed, you should at least attempt to be an original one about it.

I read about this book
when it came out in England around the holidays but now it's mine, all mine.

You can't make this shit up
According to an article in the Australian Herald Sun, Bryne got her idea for the book after being shown "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles written in 1910. It, like everything else, is available on Amazon. So, Rhonda, being the television producer/scholar she is,

My favorite thing about the Cavuto link
is his previous belief that the Obamas hated fat people.

"Will no one come to this poor dead woman's defense?"

A Commenter from the Jolie link
"You have some reading to do. You know what you get when you have an altruist society? Nazi Germany. Read some history books."

No, you mustn't! "A Separate Peace" had a character based off of lil' Gore Vidal. Precious, he was.

Well
Who knows? Maybe making a movie about her bullshit will cause people to see that there was nothing ever there anyway. Probably not, but maybe.

Let's see…

I don't know about that, Banmar. Look, I never minded Buckley, Irving Kristol, F.A Hayek or Leo Strauss (smart, educated guys interested in knowledge as they were) but under the 9 dollar words and clever logical constructions and analogies, their views aren't terribly different from the run of the mill conservatives

Is she a good cook?
Does she come up with decent recipes?

Memoirs
It's always heartening to have read someone who used the memoir form of storytelling to such good effect.

Upon further reflection, I would like to retract "spew hatred" from my previous post.

His opinions don't matter to me
at the moment. Considering I only know a quarter of the people mentioned, I've taken down all of their names (regardless of Seth's thoughts) and will accordingly add them to my ongoing Amazon list. That way I can make my own opinions and then come back here in three months and spew

GhaleonQ,

Kurtz,

I liked it when his show was called Scarborough Country. I always thought that was funny. I wonder if I would watch the other Republican pundits more if their show's titles were similiarly amusing ala "Beckland" or "Beck's Fiefdom", "The Wide World of Hannity" "Hannity Town" "I, Bill O"Reilly, am a God, worship me"

This saddens me too as he was a good, decent man
and not to make everything political but the conservatives are already blaming the Vietnam War on him.

Does he remind anyone else
of a more political Dave Barry?

Can any0ne think of a liberal equivalent
to P.J. O'Rourke? That is, most people here are on the opposite side of the political fence from O'Rourke but think he is a funny, smart guy who writes well, no matter his faulty reasoning. Conservatives of AV Club: who is the P.J. O'Rourke of the left for you?
