This is exactly why I'm enjoying this show so much these days. It's very, very clearly tightly-plotted, with little of the freewheeling just-chuck-this-in-because-why-not ethos of the Arrowverse - though I enjoy that about those shows. It's nice that we can have both! What a glorious time to be alive.

Regarding LMD May, I did keep wondering "How did Radcliffe manage to program her so well?" I'm sure there's been a few points when she 'remembers' things. That's impressive.

When Ben puts on the creepy voice and says something about "tearing your heart out" I wanted to high five everybody involved in the show.

I accidentally watched episode four before this one, which showed the uncomfortable truth that this episode wasn't entirely necessary. Fun, sure, but in relation to what happens next there's a fair amount of 'spinning wheels'.

With this episode TIMELESS introduced a fantastic conceit (in my head): they travel through time to recruit historical figures with unique skills in order to stop Flynn/Rittenhouse. If there was some way they could have kept Houdini on board, how brilliant would that have been? Also a fun sidenote: Drayer plays a

An MC Skat Kat reference? Thank you, LUCIFER!

I'm trying to 'pace myself' haha I've set myself a strict two episodes a night limit so I can savour it a bit more.

There does seem to be something shady going on with her, though, which is making me wonder if that's the only reason she hasn't already checked up on 'Pete' (ie her main focus is elsewhere)

Yes! That is exactly the same Arcturus! You're the first person in about fifteen years who I've encountered that's heard of them haha

I was in tears (of mirth) when Mickey was trying to get Ben to throw up. I don't know what it is about people in comedies pretending to be sick, or trying to be sick, or making sick noises, but it gets me every time (see: Danny Devito doing it in SUNNY).

You know what, I miss proper hidden tracks, and not all that 'unlisted extra tracks' nonsense. There was an operatic goth band called Arcturus who stuck a whole extra track in the middle of an album, but you had to rewind (on CD) about seven minutes from the start of whichever listed track it was.

I mentioned yesterday that there's an easy charm to this show (at least in the first two episodes - I'm going to eyeball two more later) and I bet dollars to donuts that even if for some inexplicable reason this show gets terrible, it'll certainly not be boring.

I like that too - it feels like a nod to older shows and, I wonder, if that's a purposeful nod as to the continuing theme/feel of this show…?

I've just eyeballed the first two episodes and it's already my new favourite. There's a kind of easy charm to it all that makes it fun to watch. I'd love to gab some more but I'll wait till the proper reviews come out - it's good though!

Is there? IS THERE?

I suspect the next one will actually be a live action rock tour, like that weird Ninja Turtles Out of My Shell thing but with vampires and werewolves playing instruments and singing songs about friendship and boffing Kate Beckinsale.

If I remember my film degree lectures correctly, UNDERWORLD was actually the very first "talkie" way back in 1782.

I'm a fourth-rate Michael Myers with a second-rate wit! No, not THAT Michael Myers! Or am I?

I see a D- as a massive kick in the balls. Like, "You were close to making something at least passably entertaining. Really, really close. But you messed it all up, you chump! No, you shouldn't have asked your mum if the film was any good, because all mums are obligated to say their child's work is 'smashing' when it

This remains the only film I've ever watched on fast forward. Sorry, "watched". It attained that weird mix of "This can't really be the most boring film I've ever seen about Dracula on a spaceship" and "Surely something gory or mental must happen soon". YES IT WAS and NO IT WON'T.
