The worst hair anachronisms were about ten years ago when every single man in an Elizabethan drama had bed head.

Being a stepdad and having watched Clubhouse, it's hard not to have Roy's voice in the back of your head just about every day.  Because if kids would just get over it already, everyone would be happier.

IIRC, this episode has the most haunting commentary track I've ever listened to.  It's by Joy Soloway, and she starts it by very slowly saying "Look at you.  How empty is your life that you're sitting there listening to me right now?"  I'd never had a commentary address me directly before, and she was exactly right.

That's what's disappointing, not that reality perpetuates stereotypes, but that it follows only one formula for conflict.  There's no variety, and it's set up ahead of time by unimaginative producers to feed that formula.

I agree with you that the episodes reacting to girl Schmo's realizations were fun to watch, but once the cat was out of the bag, the excitement was gone.  And you have to admit, they did a much poorer job that season of trying to keep things realistic.  "Come into this bathroom, I have a devastating secret I have to

I haven't watched the entire season, but I never saw anything Barbie had to apologize for.  Again, I'm not there, so I'm relying on the editors, but it appears that she acts just as stressed and cocky as the other contestants, but those typical behaviors are seen as upppity or aggressive when the black chefs do it.

Joe Schmo 1 was an astounding unique cultural moment with a satisfying conclusion, one that is singular in reality TV for its abundance of real emotion.

"It’s all very clever and intricate; it's also especially funny. (Compare it to the fake clip show episodes of Community, and you can see the clear progression of the concept.) Unfortunately, Parker and Stone have to end it somehow, so they further add to the levels of piss-taking by making it a dream —a dream

I like to think that when people learned the physics equations behind electricity, it allowed them to better understand generating electricity.  Just like when I learned karate and I used Newtonian physics to generate momentum moving forward by rotating a large portion of my body slightly backwards.  Only with Planks
