Justine Frischman tells a funny story of the first time her and Damon Albarn heard Oasis, they listened to Cigarettes and Alcohol and thought it was "just rubbish". I would have thought that too, not one of their better songs.
Just listened to Elastica's debut for the first time in about 20 years. It still holds up.

Not sure about that rule, but I do know the Foghat Rule: Your fourth album should be double live.

Our vans are so lame!

Some reviews of that album:
"…they are swimming in a sea of retarded sexuality and bad poetry."
"…the musical growth rate of this band cannot even be charted."
Wait that was Spinal Tap, my mistake.

I was biting my lip as I handed over my '70's C3PO and R2-D2 figures to my toddler.

Man, Silent Interlude is masterful. Actually just read it again while digging through my G.I. Joe comic book archives at my parents' house.

WHO TOLD YOU TO PUT A BALM ON? I DIDN'T TELL YOU TO PUT A BALM ON!

Weekend at Robbie's.

Coke's new slogan: "Ground Zero for Taste!". (sorry)

And when do you take your 9/11 lights down? My wife wants to leave them up until end of September but frankly I want them down first weekend after the 11th.

It was a Terrible Lie.

Love the Bill Burr bit about Jobs. (paraphrasing) "What, did he invent electricity or something? All he did was say to his staff, 'I want all my music in my phone. Make it happen!!'".

Indeed. That and Cold Lampin' with Flavor. Just kidding.

It's baffling how Dave Grohl and Fred Armisen show up in so many places, they must have clones. Now I'm a little creeped out.

I should check out Cypress' back catalogue.

I believe the lyrics and delivery of Welcome To The Terrordome is the pinnacle of hiphop, although I don't listen to much new stuff.

yeah I liked Cypress Hill okay, but man the lyrics of Chuck D/Public Enemy are just light years away from anything I've heard from Cypress.

"One of the guys from Public Enemy"

In my day, bands dressed like women and sang about the devil!
- Bill Burr

"Have him try on the robe". (I'm sorry, too soon). This is not a funny situation.
