For what it's worth, I just saw "The Man from the South" for the first time on Youtube. It was one of the few hyped shows that lived up to its expectations …

Also one funny show I forgot to mention: It pays to be ignorant. Pretty corny at times (as all these shows are), but when it's funny, it's funny. Good for falling asleep to.

Well I hate to also play the "I hate that they didn't mention" game, but I
hate that they didn't mention the Phil Harris, Alice Faye show. Very
sarcastic, sometimes a little raunchy (for its time.) Lot of talk of
booze and bars. And a Jack Benny spinoff.
