It kinda sucks because of the nature of curtailing to actors, you aren't really gonna have any significant threats to Hank, Skyler, Jesse, or Walt until maybe 4 episodes left.

Lots of silent acting by Aaron Paul this season. I think he's just observing how Walter treats people. He's probably had the least amount of dialogue this season, among the main actors, because he is reacting.

Walt's big hangup is his pride, that he wants the world to know what a genius he is. However, if the entire world knew what a genius he is, he'd be in jail, so he can only really flex that "I'm awesome and you suck" muscle among the criminal underworld.
