Neveldene/Taylor said they thought it would happen but…that was about 5 years ago.

I still like Die Antwoord, but they were easier to enjoy when I thought that they were smarter than their material. I knew it wasn't all for show but imagined a wink and a nod to the ludicrousness of it all. Now, I'm not so sure. Also, their last album was terrible.

He's taking issue with people casually calling people racist…and people are now casually calling him racist. The word has lost all meaning and is now mostly used as a cudgel to stifle dissent. BURN THE WITCH!!!

Have any of you lazy fucks actually read the interview and not these articles cobbled together with a few quotes? Old, cranky, and fed up with hypersensitivity? Sure. Racist, [citation needed]. And you're all proving him right.

Without hyperbole, one of the best comments I've ever read on the AV Club. Informative, fair (as far as I can tell) to all involved, and I actually learned something from it. Well done.

I aim to please.

"Go on out and get some air, fatso!"

Well said. And now they're calling him "racist" - makes it easier to burn the witch.

Is is just accepted wisdom at this point that Eastwood is "racist" by virtue of being right of center (he's more libertarian than anything)? When has he been racist?

When has Eastwood ever been a racist?

Well, if De Palma was only going to use one scene of her in Body Double, he picked the right one.

I haven't seen any of those reviews but I'm not surprised. Their premise is ridiculous - Dr. Brown is clearily the savviest, most powerful character in the show (thus far) and the Vice-Principals are portrayed as immature losers. The first episode wasn't great but the best moment was, without a doubt, her scene with

Seriously, that's not far off from Milius's story (and his is the true inspiration for Walter, per Joel and Ethan).

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance was a hell of a lot of fun - no idea why it's so disliked. Neveldine/Taylor + Cage. Are you not entertained? Also, Brian Taylor has an upcoming film starring Cage called Mom and Dad. I expect histrionics.

Greatest utterance of "FUUUUUUCK!!!" in film history.

Endtroducing era without question (even Private Press era). Now, not so much.

I like it a good bit more than you but agree with the rest of your post. It's a good album, but I cannot understand why it's so venerated.
