Is it too much to ask for a blue beard though?
He looks way too much like the dude they had for Jaqen H'ghar. Pretty much what I expected though, this show has a bad habit of making everyone too pretty.

This show has a no-flashbacks rule. This is why they're covering Theon's torture in real-time. (It's flashback in dance with dragons)

Killing her immediately would have been a kindness. They do the same thing in the book. She has a long anguishing pause while waiting for someone to kill her and put an end to the suffering.

How does gestation work in your world? Talisa was NOT looking very pregnant at all.

stray observation:
"Cold Hands" (Benjin Stark?). Apparently TV Sam needs no tour guide (since the weather is wonderful and cheery?) but Bran will… not sure if they just pushed him to the next season or if he's going to be cut completely.

At this point I'm pretty sure the Purple Wedding is waiting till the opener next season.
Looks like they'll do "cleanup" from the red wedding and then blow the rest of the finale on the Siege of Castle Black. That way they aren't leaving Jon Snow out in no-where land between seasons.

No, Tywin did… Jaime left his hand at Harrenhal, so unless Roose brought it with him….

Knew it was going to be harsh when they brought the pregnant wife to the Twins, but that was a lot rougher than I was prepared for.

careful with that… Mad Men is an anagram for "Damn Me"

Was a bit surprised to see AVC even reviewing this train wreck. Decided to check in when I saw there was a "finale" review. And wow, it looks like me and my wife made the correct call when we gave up on it 1/2 way through season2.

Yeah, they can always get her off, or do some silly "oh she got away!" plot line… but it would have played much better if no one won this round. They could have effectively played each other to a draw if she got away but they froze the Dinars. After so much push and pull between the two it was just a really weak way

She didn't shoot him, her henchman did. Then she blasted him…

This episode was fantastic right up until the 5 minutes before the lovely bee scene.
Why did they have to do that crappy hospital scene? Eh… the only thing missing was Akbar popping up with an "It's a trap!" moment. They've ended so many episodes with these last second "lets tie everything up in a bow really quickly

[YO SPOILERS!]

Considering I gave this one a C+ as it was pretty "average" a "good" grade of B+ is pretty favorable. Especially when the review text is rather critical and devoid of praise.

Just like with the assault on Kings Landing last season… Drunk'n'Bitter Cerci is the best Cerci there is.

He apparently runs the PAC office in Boston on VEEP now.

Great Finale… Best Office episode in years and it worked well for me as a send of. Flashing forward and then looking back was a great way to ease out of our relationship with the characters and leave them with "lives to live". It got too sentimental at times (Erin's birth parents) but Ryan's "I"ve finally mastered

Also, FYI, there are apparently apps for Roku to stream content direct from your computer, which is a pretty simple workaround to get HBO Go on your TV.  [I have no specific recommendation, but I'm thinking of looking into it this weekend.]

Not sure you read that correctly… I am completely aware of the subscription tie-in… which is why I said I will care about HBO GO when I don't need a TV subscription to use it.
