If they go deep enough into the 80's I hope we get some Vladimir Putin. :)

To be fair 10-15 minutes of each episode is Lena Dunham taking her clothes off.
Yeah, I loved that DMV records search plot point. Before computers the FBI certainly worked harder rather than smarter.
Square -1 in Stan's case since now his asset is a double.
Complete with Felicity climbing in a window to get the upper hand on a guy that thinks he has the upper hand.
Read up on the history. (or watch the recent National Geographic mini-series about the 80's)
"Not to get all Zapruder on this thing, but how exactly did that bullet make it into Elizabeth’s gut if Stan was shooting from outside the car, standing up, while she was sitting? "
You know nothing John snow.
Psychological torture and brain washing are very effective. The unsullied are a more hardcore slave version of what Spartan's did to make their young boys into super soldiers.
As far as the chicken and egg question of magic and dragons… The prologue of the first book is about the White Walkers. Dragons are reborn at the end of that book. Could it be that the other's gaining strength is what re-awakened the Dragons?
TV show hasn't done that yet.
Book Loras gets a white cloak as soon as he shows up. He asks for it since Renly is dead and he's heartbroken, he figures the chaste life of the King's Guard Knight is the way to go.
It's part of the post-Kings Landing defense bargain with the Tyrells. Mace gets a seat on the small…
I thought he was going to kill Jarl Borg just to get the war over before it starts.
Decent episode, but pretty C-Grade as a finale. Most of what they did here should have been the 1st episode of season 2. Man that was an impressive tree though.
… And Luis …
If they pruned every Qyburn post but the first one there would be ~75% less comments on this episode.
R'hllor may not even be doing anything. The "Red God's" powers actually working are all coincidental with the return of Dragons. I see the red priests as wizards who just don't know that their magics come from the Dragons.
You'll notice even in Book2 when the Pyromancers are making wildfire for the defense of Kings…
I always read the Drowned God as just propaganda. Even when he's making drowned men the Damphair is just doing Mouth-to-Mouth resuscitation, he's basically just a life guard doing some aggressive baptism. And he's not 100% successful in bringing people back, which is why I figured that was all just psychological. Some…
Completely agree, anyone that likes the books should have liked this episode more than anything this season. It pulled 1/2 the character dialogue straight from the pages and was by a long shot the most faithful to the story and characters in the book.
I only busted it down to an A- because of the Sansa+Littlefinger…
Yeah, that scene when he's doctoring the stump is 1:1 from the book. Even the dialogue is accurate. Setup was different but Jaime is 100% back into his book-path by then.
Outlaws don't do red tape. And there's so much regulation involved in having a bear pit… better to just skirt the rules and get your justice done in the open.
This was the most "by-the-book" episode of the season. Which was great, in that all the scenes they pulled dialogue straight from the page were excellent. Though it did make the adaptations stick out more.
