It's great to have the show back, obviously, but this episode was a little soft. I thought turning on the sound to Dee and Dennis' summer camp movies killed the joke, for one thing. Wouldn't the two of them reacting to their little selves silently and gleefully seig-heiling have been funnier?

I caught it once and the plot was Daffy Duck being nervous about attending his high-school reunion. Later, Daffy wanted Bugs Bunny to help him ask out a girl who worked at a copy place. I waited for the anvil or the stick of dynamite, but it never came. It's Looney Tunes on Prozac.

That guy on the left is a straight-up Muppet. And not even one of the good ones, but like a "Muppets Tonight!" kind of Muppet.

It's not even that Bendis' dialogue is bad - his character stuff is his greatest strength, in my opinion - but if you removed all the "quippyness" from his Avengers run, there's not much left. The rest of it is setting up plotlines that don't get resolved, finding excuses to shoehorn in new members who don't stay more

Watched The Avengers again because it's the one of two movies I've been waiting to see since I was 7 years old. (The other one was "a new Star Wars," so this movie had a lot to make up for.) The Donner Cut is tighter, for one thing. The fight in the Fortress of Solitude is cut down to a bare minimum, so the weird stuff like Zod's finger lasers and the big plastic "S" don't appear. It also ends the same way the first one does, with Superman rewinding time to undo everything. Originally the first movie was

I finally saw The Cabin in the Woods, and for the most part I enjoyed it. A lot of things I've read about it online say that its main fault is that it's superficially clever but doesn't really say anything new about horror movies or their audience, and I have to say I agree with that. The whole thing felt like the
