My movie week started with Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, before moving onto Re-Animator and finishing with Pepe Le Moko.

I quite liked the Doctor having a gang, made things more fun in the group splits up section of the episode. Also, with Riddell I finally got to see a TV character who shares my surname (and pronounces it right).

I had a pretty similar experience with The Brood a couple of months ago. Did you find yourself speechless and bolted to your chair as the credits rolled?

Frasier was never as interesting in his own show, and the "Frasier strikes out" episodes come back in season 8 onwards, including an arc I'm not particularly fond of. The problem is that it seems like a psychiatrist (or his brother) would easily be able to figure out that he keeps on making the same mistakes with…

John McMartin in the season 7 Cheers episode, The Visiting Lecher. I've only ever seen clips/heard recordings of him as Ben in Follies, and don't know much about his other stage work, but he is great in every film and TV role I've seen him in.

Actually I saw The Skin I Live In last year, and me and Big Kahuna talked about the similarities between the two while we were watching Eyes Without a Face. Both films are really unsettling, though The Skin I Live In is a touch too melodramatic, which blunted the impact a bit.

On the movie front I watched Repulsion, Moonrise Kingdom, The Seven Per-Cent Solution and Eyes without a Face .

My intermediate school teacher once read a series of Dahl's adult stories, starting with one about a pickpocketer and ending on the one this episode is based upon. 12-year-old me was extremely uncomfortable just listening to the story being read, and I still think the short story is more squeamish than the TV episode…

So the guy who I thought was the Alphas version of Pyro at the start of the season has basically turned into the actual Pyro, minus any fire-men or any of the really stupid shit that he can do in the comics. I think the idea of being able to power up all the characters is very interesting, and I'm really excited to…

Like that time I lost all my money to those card sharks, and my dad Tom Bosley had to get it back.
