I don't know if Duckman is consistently good enough for TV Club Classic, I felt from the three seasons I watched that a good number of the episodes were too weird and (sometimes) unfunny. That being said, I loved their noir parody, and the "Road to" episode.

Yeah the title sequence was very jarring and weird, and not in a good way. I don't know if it exactly suggests Brody will be a part of the show in future seasons, but it would be odd to place him so prominently in the title sequence if he is only going to have a one-season arc. Granted, I don't really watch Showtime

it was unbeliveably inappropriate placement of the theme, which is actually titled "Theme D'Amour" but it was just one of many of the things which I hated about the music. The themes seemed to have no purpose except to say "Hey! this is a horror show and apparently strings are scary", and weren't exactly helped by the

What would be your other great first seasons for a comedy?

Wasn't he doing ads for more than one cellphone network?

Alphas season finale: In which we meet Magneto. Seriously though, Stanton Parish actually seems like a pretty good villain, much better than his equivalent (Adam, I think) on Heroes, and someone who might possibly work well for however long they want to make him the big bad of the show.

I think it worked for me because they didn't just hang a lampshade on it, they then went even further than the sitcom plots they referenced did with the whole "Shine" thing. The part that I wasn't sold on was the voice-over in general, which felt oddly Scrubs-ian, despite the more obvious links to Earl's voice-over in

I haven't listened to the commentaries for Louie, does anyone know if he goes in more depth about the technical stuff in that?

Or, unfortunately due to it essentially parroting the twist word for word, Family Guy.

I think H. Jon Benjamin has actually shown a wider range of funny voices that he can do on Archer, such as the British voice from "The Double Deuce."

Does anybody know when Venture Bros. is coming back?

What about when he and Dennis are sitting down and eating, before then getting Tommy Bahama shirts?

The Lorre shows look like crap, even videotape looks better than the HD stuff with it's excessively bright lights and odd framing.

Who's Crazy Old Man? I thought about all of the retirement home characters, but the only one who came to mind as fitting the bill was Jasper, and he has a name.

They still have the time-lapses, but I also appreciated the display of restraint in this episode as opposed to the rest of the season. It was really starting to piss me off.

To me the whole episode had the feel of a Sopranos episode.

Don't be the boy, Don't be the boy.

The X-files episode, despite the one great joke ("and he comes out every friday night, like urkel"). Not a fan of the X-files, and the episode felt kind of lazy.

Over the last two episodes, I've started to realise something. Doctor Who has a truly awful score. It's bombastic when it should be subtle, so it really has nowhere to go for the big action scenes and overcooks the already melodramatic moments by hammering them over the viewers heads.

Walking Distance is just great. I'm only about halfway through season 1 of the show, but that episode just floored me with how good it was. Frankly I preferred it to "Time Enough at Last", because the twist of that one had already been ruined by so many things.
