I guess her job as a Nurse fell through…

Also, the Nurse from Fun Run. She went and got her degree.

I caught that too! I even repeated it in my head while counting a few times, just to make sure and was waiting for Dwight to point it out, or even for Jim to raise five fingers in the background…

Snip-Snap! Snip-Snap!

Character growth is a nice thing, ain't it?

You should go do that. It's probably on Netflix, or maybe you've got an old VHS recording.

I liked the return of Devon- last we saw he chased Michael down the streets of New York…however, and  this is my nerdness talking, but when he was fired, didn't he announce to the office that he would be heading to the bar for a drink and invited everyone EXCEPT Michael, Creed, Angela and Dwight down? Maybe it was

Agree on Karen…Last we saw, she was Regional Manager up in Utica- no reason Wallace wouldn't have kept her on… or maybe had a nice reveal where she was promoted to CFO or something.

He sounded surprised yet bemused that the divorce paperwork had to find him by fanboat… Priceless.

Phyllis was always great, but this really was her greatest episode. Talking about Stanley, her exchanges with Angela, her line about "not writing anything down" and even that reaction scene where she watched Erin reunite with her birth-parents were just amazing.

I think the writers knew they wouldn't be able to address everyone in the finale so they made a point of checking in with certain characters throughout the season- we got to see a little peek at how Jan and her poor, poor daughter are doing back in The Whale. Nobody seemed to care, myself included, but we got an

I was a little confused by that as well.

Well it was interesting that they presented those questions to her at the panel that *at first* seemed like it was the first time she'd considered that, yet we learn that she's been putting out feelers about selling the house for at least 2 months, and likely thinking about it since she overheard that conversation in

Yup- Plop got a nice line about all the documentary got him was that his friends now called him Plop. Kinda shocked Clark got nothing, even though they gave most of the time to the long-timers

Rid-dit-dit-da-doo

I thought Ben Franklin was going to walk in as well. Pretty sure that was the same actor, all grownz-up… he also did a brief stint as Charlie Kelly's almost-kid in Season 1 of Sunny.

I think it was more like he thought Dwight was reacting impulsive and bitter, maybe taking it personally like old-Michael would have done.

Why?

That was one of the truly great missed-opportunities as far as deleted scenes go. I LOVED that scene and wish it would've been included. Everyone is just blown away as Creed starts shredding a solo, and an annoyed Michael looks over and is like "His fret-work is all wrong!"

I think that maybe goes to the suggestion that, as others have pointed out, that he's not THAT Michael Scott anymore- as in, they had him on camera, observing and watching and not leaping-in to ham it up for the camera in situations where he would've done so in the past. I took it as a nice touch.
