I know it's common and I think the transgendered movement deserves real representation on TV, not a character who exists inside a vacuum. Transgendered bigotry should be confronted, but Glee is doing it in its typical heavy-handed, after school…

I felt like the introduction was incredibly heavy-handed. It wasn't just "here's an interesting new character and she's transgendered!" it was "here's a new character and TWIST she's transgendered and TWIST she wants to wear a dress onstage in OHIO and BIGOTRY EVERYWHERE, VICTIMHOOD!"

i'm currently at the scene where they introduce the transgender black kid. there must be a major overhaul in the remaining 30 minutes because this is horrible. i really don't think i can keep going.

Well, during my 6th grade "omg kurt cobain is the only person who understands me and he's dead" phase, I thought Heavier than Heaven was amazing. In retrospect, it's pretty awful, but it does highlight some little known facts that are pretty interesting.

This makes me happy and I feel a lot happier about sticking with the show. I'm glad she's paying attention to the criticism and I think this show could be everything it aims to be with time.

But…laundry, you just put it in the machines. That gives you at least an hour and 40 minutes of no work during the chore. So, we're basically comparing folding and washing dishes, but if you're a pro you can pull the old "I did your laundry, could you fold the clothes?" with your roommate/whoever.
