It all seemed pretty light-hearted to me. Didn't the original set come with the replacement offer? Or was it only after complaints rolled in?

I've got the mid-90s CD rerelease of Sticky Fingers. The case itself was just slightly taller than a standard CD, prohibiting use in many CD racks. It came with a "plastic piece designed to protect your case from the zipper" which still made a visible line through the insert to the case after a few years.

That's how the Blockbuster Music employees would pull out new discs to give you a listen and then still sell the disc at full price.

Is the original box really going to be a collector item? Becasue I recycled mine shortly after the replacement case came in the mail. The Crayon Homer was on my cubicle wall for a few years before I stuck it on someone else's wall to forget about the whole maddening thing.
