I love The Apartment so much. I like that another convert is born.
Chinatown is a complete masterpiece. I adore how taut the direction is, it never rushes, but also never comes to a halt like a lesser director would let it do (a perfect example actually would be the sequel The Two Jakes, which does).
I maintain Huston

I always found City Of Glass the most straightforward and Ghosts less so. They really work best read all in one go I found myself, as they're all philosophically interconnected.

Congratulations on graduating from me as well.
I know you're being funny, but the degree is what you decide to do with it, and no one says you have to be a practicing lawyer forever, it's a very handy degree to have. Good luck with the future.

Is it the wave part or the surfers silhouetted on the right part?
I could do with some amazing pop-cultural tees this summer. Recommendations from anyone?

I am very much looking forward to Kindling In One Person next.
The Garp comparison has already given me something to think about when I do. Thank you for that.

My Saturday I mostly helped a friend with her short film she was making and went to an apartment party and danced like the fool I can sometimes be and thankfully didn't wake up next a stranger I needed to mastermind an escape from.
On Sunday I mostly just read during the day Bonjour tristesse (which I knew already

The problem it has as a drama then is that it's drama comes from fairly low stakes, which can absolutely work if the characters were incredibly compelling, but they aren't to me.

That's my opinion at least.
There's just never enough meat to these episodes, and sure there is an occasional vignette that's amusing to me, it just doesn't compel over a half hour.
I think a big part is because if it is trying to be realistic, then the problem is that this kind of reverse cinéma vérité just isn't

Why are you so aggressive? You seem incredibly angry. I made a stupid joke, and you get all humorlessly outraged and engage in personal insults. Why? Lighten up.
Here's a tip, calling people stupid online probably isn't going to get anyone to consider anything you ever do reasonably, no matter how good the point is.

Fair enough dude. I can respect that position entirely, and it's similar to my frustrations with the show.
I went into it thinking it was a comedy drama from the start, but I completely see your point of feeling annoyed if you expect something else.Groundbreaking is the last thing I would call it, unless someone
