Like mother like daughter.
Aw…it's kind of touching if you don't really think about it.

I 've never watched this show, but holy hell does that finale summary sound awful.

"Hmm…My film had more N-words. I win."

@avclub-da518aecddbf5c94588f53562012c452:disqus Maybe…Would Varrick and Bolin have come along? Maybe they could do their shooting on a yacht. I'd assume Mako either way would stay on the force and Asami would have work to do on her company.

The spirit doesn't make sense that way, because no matter her actions and behavior beforehand wouldn't it have been waiting to attack her once she left? Of course she might not have left if things had gone her way with Iroh, but that leads back to a convoluted chain of

@avclub-749a8e6c231831ef7756db230b4359c8:disqus True, I understand that and the way the episode shows her reaction to the break-up is a good start. I just didn't like the insinuation that the spirit eating her was a proper way of comeuppance for her behavior. Past actions need to resurface, not just a giant monster.

@avclub-88d5dc52fcb12348f600ecc0fd91a583:disqus Ok, yeah, that's explains it better.
I just feel that it would be better for her character development to have consequences that tie back to her main issues. Disembarking Republic City may have been rash, but there are many bigger issues that could've led to consequences

@avclub-da518aecddbf5c94588f53562012c452:disqus If the show wants to provide comeuppance for her attitude against other people, I can think of a thousand better ways (i.e. more intelligent/sensical to character development) than getting eaten by a spirit out of the blue. Which is why it isn't (or at least shouldn't

I'm happy that the break-up helped her snap out of her attitude, but my comment isn't exclusive to that scene, it's about how she acts to everyone.
Korra thinks everyone who doesn't agree with her and aid her is against her. She really needs to step back and look at things objectively instead of from only her own

Well, it's 'United Forces' not Navy in the universe, which is probably a giant collection mix mash of the idea of U.S. Armed Forces.
I bet more kids know the word General better than Admiral, so they just gave him that title.
General is more synonymous with total control (even when its not correct), where as Admiral

I think it would be a nice twist if Varrick is in cahoots (Wow, i've been waiting my whole life to use that word) with the agni kai and paid them off for the bombing to rally support.
We need a bit of balance showing how both sides can be a-holes in a war. Neither is pure.

For Iroh
Despite the fact how nuts Korra has been acting lately she did save Republic City from a giant uprising and restore bending to everyone who lost it. A lot of people probably feel indebted to her for that. Not to mention his grandfather was very tight with the previous avatar.
I thought his idea of a scouting

"I'm the Avatar! Do whatever I say or you're evil!"
 - Korra, a class act.

It's Zhu Li! She's behind this all!
Bide your time, woman.

Is she connected to it?

Write would imply some level of original creation and imagination.
So no.

Thank you Zombie Jesus.

Correction: Every female comic character is known for their boobs these days.

While I'm not a fan of your reasoning, I'd actually like to see Anna Kendrick in the part. I think i'd be a good match. Along with Whedon's humorous tone, the two could make a interesting turn on the character seeing as most interpretations i've seen of the Scarlett Witch have been pretty drab.

Their incredibly rich actually, despite the fact that they don't do shit anymore.
