Missed A lot
Wow, I missed a lot of this, especially the part about Acker. Something made me choose to not erase this on my dvr after watching it this morning. I'm so glad that I can go back and watch it again now.

How exactly is Ballard a rape victim?

I'm not a rape victim, and I think you're a rape apologist and an asshole too, if that makes you feel any better.

You're not wrong.

I don't know, but I have family who have armed themselves because of Glenn Beck's show. They had a Glenn Beck party too, when he had some special house party show night. And they say that Obama is like Hitler and that's why they're armed. It's really crazy stuff. I just don't visit them because I don't want to be

This Side of paradise
I've always loved that episode. I thought that the dynamic between Jill Ireland and Nimoy was the only time I'd seen Spock have sexual chemistry with someone. I never bought the chemistry between him and that Romulan commander later on. But he had it with Ireland. She was married to Charles

It says that he is very pessimistic about a second season happening. I wonder if they have already told him?

The actress who plays her is the most beautiful woman on the show, in my opinion. Though Acker might tie her actually.

Yeah, it's definitely between Kahn and The Undiscovered Country. I'd have a hard time choosing between the two.

Roddenberry & women
"But given the weight her character is given, it's too bad that Marla wasn't stronger."

I was going to post something along these lines, except I was going to add something pretty snarky about how obvious it was that these comments were made by the pornified pimple squad who can't look at a small Asian woman without polevaulting all over the place, and were not based at all on her performance.

Or, 17 virgins.

I loved it all the way through.

"I've always imagined that's the way the Bush presidency ended"

Well, I'm not in love with her or anything, but she is a really good actress, and I kept wondering during this whole episode - how much better would this have been with Acker in the lead role? I guess I never realized how bad of an actress Dushku is, because her Faith was just a ball of energy, and she was riveting.

I would like to know too. I'd hate to get attached to the show and then it gets cancelled. It took me along time to get over WB cancelling Angel in the middle of its 5th season. To replace it with a show that garnered less ratings. I mean, it's just infuriating.

That is one of the strangest things about TOS, and it really makes no sense.

Really interesting take
I'm not sure I'd put Squire so far above Charlie X, or, consider it superior at all…but I like the article.

Judge Smell, I bet you are hoping to catch something big with that flame bait.

Rosebud: No one is talking about giving her an award for going back to Brown though. Her work, should be something that is kept separate from the fact that she is a victim of DV.
