Yeah, give it a run. I'm not a HUGE fan of his, but Breaking the Waves feels like it has all of his themes and obsessions in a package that really works for me and can be pretty affecting, whereas I think the way he hits the same themes in his other movies doesn't always work as well for me.

I actually don't know any details beyond some of the art he's posted on his twitter. You guys are pretty much my only comics news source! I'd assumed it was going to be it's own series, but I would buy it as a backup in NAMBLA MONTHLY if I had to!

I'm also still waiting for Batman to become the Tom King Batman I believe is out there. I feel like Bart at Camp Krusty..WE WANT CRUNCHY!!!

That's really cool. I've been tweeting my bad jokes and haven't really connected with a ton of people, but I do tweet at or DM folks when I like something or have compliments or feedback and it's surprising how often you get an immediate response.
Though I always laugh when I'm surprised that an artist responded to any

That is going to be SOOO good!
I just went looking to see what Scioli has been up to on Twitter and saw some of the art for it and am beyond stoked! TvGIJ really left a giant fist-shaped hole in my heart.

The best kind of author crush is definitely the AP English Teacher kind. Thanks for helping me realize that this morning!

I understand when folks don't like Lars Von Trier or poop on his last few films, but I refuse to accept their opinion as valid if they haven't seen Breaking the Waves. I like quite a few (and don't like a few) but that is THE quintessential Lars Von Trier film and maybe the best run at what he does.
Any film nerds or

Oh cool, I can totally imagine the dance floor reaction! His solo stuff is good and can be dancy sometimes but still floor-clearing for the general public.
Thanks for being my google haha

Who was the DJ?

That's great; adjusting my stokedometer on your rec. I'll try to catch it in a theater for sure when it plays out here.

haha I swear the moment after I hit post it hit me that you were totally being silly. I am very gullible on the internet!
But yes totally agreed. A couple trolls under a web-bridge somewhere are very excited about all the dust they've kicked up! I just never understood why Ghostbusters was sacrosanct whereas every year

Was it never not an Artsy Surreal Horror Flick? (ASHF)
'You never told me the dwarves were Tommy!"

That volume had me ready to drop it too, I understand completely! The current arc going in the floppies ACTUALLY HAS HAD some narrative and action-like things.
Also I've been meaning to thank you for all the good times hanging out with you reading Humans and Transformers vs. GI Joe.

Interesting I never thought of the similarity but you're spot on.
I just saw Cat in the Brain at the local theater a couple weeks back and it was REAL good. I hadn't seen any late-period Fulci and I really enjoyed the ride.

I saw the pic and IMMEDIATELY knew he was from Mad Magazine. Only a complete moron could draw an illustrated face like that!!
It looks so quintessentially Mad, like a Don Martin or a Sergio Aragones. RIP, they don't draw them like they useta and all that.

I had the same feeling. It feels like a dissolve reunion here! I still lurk everywhere and comment sometimes but I miss all you folks since everyone scattered.

GO CRAIG great to see you up on the byline buddy!

You're thinking of the Wacky World of Wakanda. This one's pretty much the same but with less pie-throwing.

My favorite thing about Rebirth has definitely been the Snickers ads.

Completely. I still can't really see what would be objectionable about that page outside of her costume itself, which is a whole nother discussion that I'm sure you understand PG.
