I liked it. The last movies I saw before The Master were Days of Heaven, The Mirror, and Last Year at Marienbad so the Master felt almost straightforward!

I loved the screaming in the Prison- reminded me of some of the great Tim and Eric standoffs (The Terrys, Will Forte in BDM)
Narrative wise, it felt real- they're obviously using each other and when it dries out they both are animals. I also think of some of the later discussion- in another life, etc.

I really liked it. At this point, I'm just savoring the great performances, the wonderful look, sumptuous film real estate. I feel like if I go after anything else I'll start to struggle to explain myself. Joaquin's character REALLY reminded me of one of my close friends- all of the silly animal stuff really struck…

I do indeed like series 1 better, but that doesn't mean series 2 isn't great as well. It really just came down to the war for me- I was willing to follow the characters I'd grown to love through it, but that wasn't what got me into the show..

Our house is two episodes away from finishing season two- is season three good?
None of us have watched them and I'm buying the seasons on Amazon. Two started off a little wonky but we're all completely hooked again. If three is even better I don't know if I can take it!

I saw the Master as well- sans public sess. Another movie clouded up nicely that'll open right up on a second view.
