I think Obliterati blew us all way, even moreso than OnoffOn. Those first thumps and chords, that lumbering Dinosaur stomp..it not only updated, but reinvigorated. It was in and out of step with the times, and it sounded wonderful. I think I've been afraid of their output since- the "you're blowing it!" principle. But…

I stayed reluctant post-Obliterati, because it just fit too well. I still haven't heard their last one- I've grabbed it every time I've gone to Amoeba,, but when I would do my "what am I REALLY buying" it would never make the final cut.
