Those issues are so packed with detail you're bound to remember some of it correctly. I end up rereading any number of issues any time a new one comes out. It's dense dense dense but so worth it.

I frequently think I don't have enough RAM to properly appreciate that series. Kot, while being such an awesome one-off storyteller, plays such a long, patient game with the plot threads he seeds early. I'm still not 100% on the fungus stuff, but it is haunting as fuck. I'll almost be disappointed when we do get a…
Sava, Zero's first name is Edward, not Richard.
I'm still holding out hope that that's a typo, and they're really taking the MCU to Battle Toads World.
If they reissue Adore, there's a possibility that the fabled Let Me Give The World To You from those sessions will be on there. THAT's the bald white whale of the unreleased SP catalog.
I really like the Pumpkins, and I have a copy of TAFH proudly displayed in my apartment, but this recording is imperceptibly different from the one that was released in the original set. I want to be excited about these re-masters, but I haven't picked up any of them.
Hey! I'm one of those Retcon Punch editors that reads the AV Club! Thanks for the nod.
The only thing that I think makes the Brion version superior to the official release is the grim string arrangement on Not About Love. I love that recording but I end up skipping the song on the actual release.
I love the Birthday Boys - they do a monthly sketch show at the UCB theatre in LA (paired with A Kiss From Daddy) and it's always an excellent hour of comedy.
You rock, rock.
You rock, rock.
They're not shitting on everyone though - Snyder and Lemire have both been rocking a lot of series on their own terms and BOTH have new series coming out shortly. The Simone stuff stings, and I know DC has a history, but that seems to be the only real crime to creatives of late.

Yeah, I hate it when artists and craftsmen try to hard. Trying is for pussies.

Hard time accepting it, but it's also an incredibly observed detail about HJ. It's hard to take it all in, but it's one of those "it's hard because it's an unpleasant truth" kind of things. You think Hollis' is gonna kill HJ?

He's also well-paired with The Birthday Boys. Their live shows are routinely awesome.

Birthday Boys are really great. They've been working on stage stuff with Odenkirk for a while now. I'm really looking forward to seeing what they pump out for TV.
