I don't know too much Deftones, but I loved "Change (in the House of Flies)." Shame it ended up on the soundtrack for Queen of the Damned.

Agreed on both points, excellently stated.
It was a stupid thing for him to write. I seriously doubt it was the stupidest, most insensitive thing anyone's ever written in that guest book. People need to calm the hell down and stop clutching their pearls in phony shock whenever a kid who probably doesn't remember the last time he's had anywhere near a normal…
I was just talking to someone about that Helen Hunt scene last night, and how angel dust was the boogeyman of TV shows and Afterschool Specials through most of the 80s. Another great moment: Stoned, starring Scott Baio as a teen who smokes one joint and almost accidentally kills his brother with a canoe paddle.
I love the Beatles, but there really do not need to be any more books written about them, especially by people with whom they at most had a casual friendship.
Holy shit. Wow. I honestly cannot find words for this.
What the fuck is a Big Ang?
Vince Vaughn? Were the other 27 or so people they were interested in busy this weekend?
The only positive that will come out of either of these films is the scathing reviews. I will particularly feel the loss of Roger Ebert then.
It's honestly a little sad that he views either of these TV shows as cultural touchstones that audiences will surely want to revisit.
I find regular people who are clearly unhinged to be more fascinating Twitter feeds to follow than celebrities or comedians. I occasionally check out the feed of a guy who is obsessed with the actress Sanaa Lathan, to the point where he tried to contact her there so often that she blocked him. He posts several times a…
These all sound very optional.
This is going to sound ridiculous, but I'm old enough to remember when People Magazine did often focus on real life issues. It still does very occasionally, but now is mostly absorbed in all that "who has a baby bump" nonsense.
I once had a roommate who was a rabid fan of Philly sports, and anytime he watched a game involving them, and something went wrong, he'd slam his fist into a metal folding chair with unsettling force. I learned real quick to find somewhere else to be on "Game Day."
Same here. I used to be obsessed with serial killers when I was a teenager, then got burned out on it. The media's treatment of these people, particularly if they're allegedly attractive women (i.e. Casey Anthony, Jodi Arias, who both strike me as just kind of average looking, but whatever), as minor celebrities is…
Same here. When the big draw for your movie is a 30 second appearance from Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian, that's a giant NO symbol for me.
Why don't they make the whole plane out of the black box??
I watch Project Runway for the same reason, that the people on it do seem to exhibit some level of actual talent. If it's fixed, it's less obvious than, say, American Idol.
TMZ's attitude of "celebrities are inherently awful people who deserve to be mocked and brought down a peg or two" is really fucking disturbing.
Daniel's boots *did* look a little tacky during the construction phase, but they worked with the outfit as a whole.
