Having had to sit in the Department of Public Safety waiting room for two hours while nothing but judge shows played on the tv in the corner that whole time, I can say yes, meth addicts and drug dealers still watch judge shows, at least while waiting for their names to be called.

    the Atheism
Just curious how much the anti-religous stuff is really skirted in this movie and how much is just controversy about the later parts of the series. As I remember, the first book, while setting the stage for the anti-religous rhetoric of the rest of the series, wasn't all down with God so much as just

    Malick
I just read a piece in Time earlier today with Cormac McCarthy having a conversation with the Coen brothers in which they talk about how great Malick's movies are. Got me excited to watch some. Glad to see this is out.

In that trailer park/Wal-mart sort of way, yeah.

But did the guy with the boombox lead the children into a hole in the side of a mountain that closed up behind him? And was the name of this town Hamlin?

    Charlie wrote Slade's songs?

Micah's Family (and us) must be morons
Wannabe G Cousin: What's that Micah?
    Micah: It's a comic book.
Monica: A comic book, what's that?
Micah: It's kinda like a magazine, only instead of a bunch of hard words, its got neat pictures.
Monica: Those sure are neat pictures! Hey, but what are those people in it?
    Micah:

    Never Disbands
So it seems like every sketch group he belongs to never disbands. I'm all for that.

No, but I just thought when a kid looks up from playing with a toy to see a guy who looks exactly like his dad standing 10 feet away, he would notice him and think it was his dad before he thinks, hey, that guy looks a lot like my dad who is supposed to be over there. Personally to this day, and especially, I would

Yeah, but did no one not think it especially weird that Little Hiro was off playing with a sword at his mom's funeral, and didn't seem to be too sad about it? And he didn't seem to notice his dad standing 10 feet away as well as in the distance at the funeral?

    Dempsey?
    Oh, that guy.

    A larger world and Gladys
Not sure if they'll ever work with it, but I also liked how this episode opened up the world for even more interactions between Hell and Earth. You don't just get the the Devil and escaped souls every now and then—there are also demons living amongst us, and not just working in the DMV. But

She was on DA Dad! Awesome!

It was the same mysterious person who used his superpowers to get Parkman a detective job in New York, after he'd been trying and failing for years to make detective in Texas.

    I just can't do it anymore…
I don't even have the vitriol to post and whine about this show anymore. Maybe I'll keep watching if I've nothing better to do, but its gotten to the point that I don't even care enough to complain anymore.

    Joel Schumacher sucks?

    Netflix queue here I come!

If my invisible post shows back up, I just want to point out I didn't mean to be such a dick. When I said your Lost opinion doesn't count for much, I mostly was referring to your lack of insight into a discussion about the comparisons between the two shows, not necessarily your opinion in general.

Ah, but if you stopped watching Lost many moons ago, your opinion doesn't really count for much, does it?

Oh, if only it was for good. I don't have much hope though.
