O.K. Since I'm always the one that does the math on the blog in which I make all the calculation errors for the planet to see, I'll bite..Don appears to be 40 by which he would have been born in '26. If he fought in WWII he would have been 15.  If he fought in the Korean War, he would have been 24.

But, then the Astonauts get on their Harleys or into their sports cars and go to the local watering holes at night.  I like the Pitch because it shows the politics of a decision and how just that alone can drive the effort in the wrong direction.  It's watching the people dynamics and the creative choices that make it

That's really good.  The tragedy was a huge blow to morale.  I bet you are onto a backdrop  to a plot line for sure…"go-fever"…short cuts…flaming out.

What field L-o-l-a?  Just curious if you are willing too say. But, some of these doctorates take six years sometime, right?

Lana, I love your avatar.  I  haven't been on as much; things have been too busy.  Needing to know why it is so hard to post on this blog as it takes me forever to see my typing register.  Got any ideas for me

I think Weiner uses Kinsey's character to show how "creatives" are always on that slippery slope from creativity to madness.  Maybe Weiner is poking fun at how the creatives in New York have their own embedded view of what is "trash" when on the opposite coast the script might be worth gold.

Hi, copacetic. I posted above to the same thoughts.  But, I liked the Hare Krishna touch in the script.  when the Beatles went to India all of these influences came through their music and the culture at large had pockets of the same. I lived in San Francisco at the time as a Harry-et.

That's such a wonderful post and way to express it.  The first paragraph nails the set-up in MM. I think Weiner is taking these characters into their "middle" age; some into their older age.  The aging is more about point of view and which things are done because they are helpful to us and which things are detrimental
