KillBill, That's wonderful. Enjoyed reading every word. The story is about EveryMan who finally humbling himself, wins through losing.

Thanks, Nutty Cuckoo, great piece. It held all of my sentiments about this show. Thanks for stepping forth.

Todd, I'd like to thank your wife for hammering the point to you that this show was really about the relationship between the wives. Your wife seems to know that women working out a relationship like that is where the miracle lies.

Hey, Lord Running Clam and Rawbun, good for you. I feel in good company now! I cried, oh, yeah. Me and the rest of the nonelites on other message boards who are now in mourning.

To back Kill Bill, Googie, and Lana, "squander" for season four is a good word. Other series should pay attention. Writing schools should use it as a demonstration. In season four Big Love departed from its roots which gave us a story that applied to us all.

Intriguing Documentary
This was a documentary that kept me really engaged. The surrounding scenes and people told as much of the story as the main focus. I was wanting to slow it down and look at the faces of the women who were in the audience, beautifully dressed and just beautiful. The younger women at the end in

Mas: See my post back to you on page 3 regarding your case on Don.

I haven't been reading Page 3 and finally found the time to read through.
Max, your prose, as well as others, is very interesting to read considering the characters, plot and others. Since you have a DSM-IV-TR, turn to the Multiaxial Assessment Chapter. That is where you will find the system of classification that

The baby issue will evolve around a blood type issue, IMHO>

@Alansmithee: I think after zeroing in on your post I'm going to go back to thinking of Don as bi-polar. I keep sitting on the fence on that.

"sexually demented"? Maybe that's what I was seeing when I tried to call him bi-polar in one of my posts. I like "sexually demented" better. Jon Hamm definitely wanted to create that "I'm in love" aura in this episode.
You notice how everyone around him was looking at him as though he was off his rocker when he got

@Persimmon and L-O-L-A, I am back after a break for stuff in the fam. I feel the same about reading all of your posts and the interesting ladies that post here (some of whom are Lana, Steve, Smuggy, Legally Blond, Elllie, Anywhere, Vivis, Skylar, and those who are decoying so well). (Not to leave out the guys , of

Persimmon: So great that you brought up "power dynamics" as we start to watch the effects of the war and social change start to work through the lives of these characters. I look forward to "hearing" more from you on that next season. I'll have to brush up.

Visitation
I spent nearly 20 years of my life arranging visitations with my ex. If Matthew Weiner needs some creative material for Betty and Don, ask him to give me a call. I can supply him with many plot lines.

BOBO and Max: I cannot tell from your posts if you are responding to the subject under my thread question. What I am suggesting is that with the way Don cycles through things as impulsively as he does, maybe he has always had a bi-polar problem that was before the alcohol problems. But, I just read Weiner's

I loved how Faye took over the conversation in what was going to be a downer for her and she knew it. She didn't let Don manuver her "over a cup of coffee" so that he could do his cow-eyes about how sorry he was and draw the thing out. "Just get to the point." Faye didn't let her emotions blind her to what she knew

Thanks, Banana and Nath. Good to know.

Arundel: I wasn't sure of what Ken's slant was either. I think that Ken is being drawn as a fellow who is in love with his bride to be for herself and not for the money connections. At that lunch that he had with Pete he was very determined to make Pete realize that he was not marrying her for the money. Some

@ Smuggy who poses an interesting question "And is her canning Carla worse than what Don did to Fay?"

@Smuggy and Lexicon: I think you both have added more dimensions to Betty and Don. It's odd, isn't it, that while Don has tried to gain some ideas about himself by journaling, he won't go to the psychiatrist. However, Betty goes to the psychiatrist, but has yet to recognize that the reactions to her life lie within
