A lot of comic book characters have alliterative names.  It makes them easier to remember.

Not part of DuckTales but in the Uncle Scrooge comics, Donald's father is named Quackmore and Scrooge's sisters have normal names, Hortense and Matilda.

Jason Robards speech at the end is really quite great. Everyone thinks of him as a caveman but he still does love his family, he just feels a lot of bitterness about it.

It really is a great movie.  It looks at the long, hard, slog through shit that being responsible for another human being for their entire life is.

I've seen Nick of Time a few times but it never occurred to me that the machine actually could be the work of the Devil until I took a class in college about Satan.   Basically an idea that has run throughout depictions of the Devil is that Satan offers certainty whereas God only offers hope.
