Well, the thing is, you can't bring the Daleks back each time only to have the conclusion of the story be "we've just destroyed all the Daleks! Now there's none more left! None more Daleks!"

No Earthshock? Or did we already do Earthshock?
The whole notion of the Doctor even HAVING a "reputation" irritates the hell out of me. For almost the entire run of the original series - up until Andrew Cartmel came on as script editor in the last two years - the Doctor was never anyone that special; he was a really clever old weirdo in a frequently broken-down…
The thing that would always drive me nuts with RTD's finales is his incessant need for everything to be wildly over-the-top and bombastic while being simultaneously intimate and personal - as if he wanted to make "Seeds of Doom" and "Caves of Androzani" at the same time, at the end of every season. And what you end up…
Bahn is right about the weaknesses in the story - the Doctor is pretty ineffectual, if necessarily so; his moral dilemma is undercut by Nation's own retconning of the Daleks' origin which leaves them one-dimensionally evil monsters (although I'd argue that they'd arrived at that point long before "Genesis") - but the…
Yeah - fuck everything in the world but my niche issue of launching expensive gadgets off of the world!
WHY DO FAMOUS PEOPLE HAVE TO CARE ABOUT THINGS I DONT CARE ABOUT
Changelings can totally get assimilated. If they're vulnerable to a virus, they're totally vulnerable to Borg-y nanobot thingies.
I've never trusted Dwight… and I never will… I'll never forgive him… for what he did to my boy…
Speaking of gun advocates… what was Voldemort's evil plan, again? Was he trying to take over the world, or what? And if so, how? His most powerful evil spell is the one that kills one person at a time, right? And ordinary, plain old boring Muggles can do the same thing with a fucking gun, and Rowling establishes that…
The whole "Jadzia likes to drink with/fuck Klingons" thing kind of had me rolling my eyes pretty constantly, and only confirmed my earlier suspicions that the writers had no idea what to do with her character, and were just pegging random character traits onto her. Good Dax episodes don't start coming along until…
"has an unplanned pregnancy, the father bails"
It's really a missed opportunity that the show never manages to provide a satisfying picture of a Dax-less Jadzia. Here, without Dax, Jadzia is just weak and helpless, but that could be attributed to the fact that she's dying - we don't actually ever see her as a whole and separate entity apart from the symbiont.
Totally. The fact that Verad Dax was clearly so much more confident than Verad, the fact that that confidence (and that smug "Benjamin" shit) clearly came from the Dax worm itself… that presented a much more complicated picture of the Trill/symbiont relationship than we'd seen before. It's a far less equal…
God, Ice Hockey was the WORST.
We actually had the E.T. game when I was a kid, and I actually fucking beat the thing, more than once, despite my deep and abiding hatred of it, simply out of my childlike loyalty to E.T. If I gave up on it, he would have died, inside the game!
Um… no. Disney's worker's were incredibly exploited - in fact, Walt stole some of his animators' work outright; a number of Disney "creations" were made by Disney employees who were never properly compensated for their work - and inevitably, they wanted to unionize to protect themselves. Uncle Walt busted the unions…
To the extent that the characters have "changed," they haven't been progressing - they've been devolving. Abed used to be the socially awkward nerd who occasionally made meta comments; now he mostly exists to comment on the structure of the show itself (and he hasn't become "the leader of the group," the show has…
It'll get better ratings than Community.
If it's a "drama," can they start introducing characters with more than one personality trait, as most dramas have?
