Because grammar has to do with spelling and English has to do with latinisation of names. I don't know what Pavlovian has to do with anything, got to admit, Fast Zombie.

I'm sure this comes from watching The Manchurian Candidate again recently on one of the HBOs. Where are those sinister Russian and Asian-y brainwashers that can turn you into a programmed killer for life in a couple of days now, when so many people in the West could clearly use their potentially lifesaving

Corrected.

The English have lost an empire since then. I don't think we have to care.

You have to watch a DVD trailer so you can watch a theatrical trailer. Hasn't it been that way for a while?

Phoenix as Lincoln totally works. But he's not old enough to play presidential Lincoln yet. By the time he is, the old book + pulp phenomenon will be long over, since it already is. But Quentin Tarantino should file away the "Joaquin Phoenix stars in some kind of twisted President Lincoln story" idea.

Budget analysis?
You asked for an applicable type of analysis. I don't know enough to contribute much concrete, but it does look like it's done on the cheap for the type of show. A few sets much repeated. All I've seen the cape do in two episodes (just the last two), it could actually be a practical prop with

Minimum security federal prison. And it is not very good cake.

I guess if the usual viewer thinks that the immune system sorts through DNA, and throws out all the bad, everything's fine.

They mostly do imaginary science. Gene therapy is real science. I hope Walter's gene therapy (or what else could it be construed as) doesn't continue to make him more chimp-like. Sure, it's a joke. But people who aren't the sort to be afraid of condoms can be scared by genetic manipulation. Not to help

Well, let's certainly hope that the fifth (reported) time's the charm!
If this works, collective tsk-tsking should be deployed toward greater goals.

Anybody play a game called "Potions"?
I don't recall eating anything very weird as a favorite, though maybe my memory is just kidding me. I remember playing a sleep-over party game called "Potions." Two teams would take turns making up the grossest mixture they could from contents of the pantry and refrigerator.

@Manic Depressive Dream Girl

I thought that it was made pretty clear that the cult of Laura's The Blind Assassin was as much a cult of personality as having anything to do with literary merit. And an almost entirely imagined by fans personality at that. I didn't think the book was bad, though. Repetition and expansion was its structure.

is on a billboard on a building on a corner of my block, much like the one in the picture, except it's a crappy-er building and corner. I didn't know what it meant. Now that I do, I can't say I'm much happier.
