Agreed. There were a lot of good ideas in that episode, and a lot of bad ideas, and no distinction was made between the two.

When I first watched 'The God Complex', I was annoyed by the way the Doctor kept insisting "nobody else dies today" even as bodies piled up. As it turned out, the ingenious thing about the episode is the way its resolution addresses this directly : Amy has to acknowledge the Doctor's flaws, and he has to admit he's

It has plenty of mine!

I certainly didn't hate it, but I feel it does tend to be a bit over-rated. It's as though the viewers who hate Moffat want to make him look worse by exaggerating Gaiman's merits. It annoys me when people act as though 'The Doctor's Wife' was the only good episode in Series 6.

Me too. It's a shame that Moffat no longer tells stories that actually connect coherently together, but he's still good at playing with images and themes and ideas, and 'The Name of the Doctor' is fascinating and haunting, and is the right sort of finale for the fiftieth-anniversary year, I think.

Yea, part of why 'Midnight' works is because it is so different of a typical adventure. It's one of those odd cases where the individual episode is brilliant, yet I would hate for every episode to be like that.

This seems to be representative of the worst excesses of that era, though. The finale of series 3 (well, I like it!) or The Christmas Invasion might have been better examples of the Tenth Doctor's stories.

Eh, there are some interesting ideas and some good atmosphere (and great chemistry between Matt Smith and himself), but it's poorly scripted, with unconvincing characterisations, And that climactic scene piles idiocy upon idiocy (I mean, if the flesh-monster can be so easily defeated by the sonic screwdriver, why did

It was an RV. You can also take a shower or roast a chicken.

I thought Disqus said they could run a commenting system.

He's from Springfield! Get him!

Milhouse insisting that "Radical" is his thing that he says is pretty much spot-on, too.

You must look more stupid than it's possible to imagine anyone being.

I see what you did there.

Here in Ireland, the government have announced they'll hold a referendum on gay marriage. It won't be until 2015, and it may not be passed, but- hey- it's a step.

Bonjourrrrr, ya cheese-eatin' surrender monkeys!
