There was a time when HBO showed it all of the fucking time. And I would watch it. I don't like it, but I just wanted to "understand". I don't think I ever did. It's just one obscure piece of work.

YES. They made us watch it in school and my friends thought I was weird for not crying and that pissed me off because they kept saying I was heart/soulless. Oh, please. It was made for the sole purpose of making people cry. This and the likes of Erin Brockovich (it's a shame this was in 2000) are some of the worst

Saw it in my high school history class. The teacher was raving about it but it was just… awful! My classmates were crying by the end but I wasn't because I wasn't at all moved. It just wasn't that good.

I saw it when I was 14 expecting to like it, but I was just disappointed. It was bad. I appreciate the found footage style, even the hype, but it's all filler. For days after seeing it, I tried to convince myself the last 15 or so minutes justified the collective 40 minutes of rocks and sticks footage with a lot of

In no way, time, space in the universe should The Blair Witch Project rank any higher than Scream. It's just wrong.

Agreed. It's more of a must-see for novelty type of film, but no to being a contender

Given this top 50, I am dying to know A.V. Club's top 50 guilty pleasure films of the 90s. Do it! Do it! Do it!

I didn't expect Seven or is it Se7en? but I'm glad.

At first I was highly skeptical, but have since seen that they have a genuine desire to keep things awesome. I'm sure they never intend on Brittaing the show. Unfortunately fans have also made them feel (whether intentional) that they have really big shoes to fill.

Just this week, a different take / second look on the iconic "kissing sailor" photo made its rounds on the Internet. It pissed me off (and I'm a… strident feminist), but it showed that feminism has a pretty large following online. I think feminism was especially visible in times surrounding the political debates,
