Agreed! It made no sense, and was strange and offbeat. Actually, it kind of does make sense seeing as Pierce mentions it in the Greendale school song… Despite the weirdness, it was well thought-out. They even had history (slaves fanning the nobles)

I thought so, too. I guess it's more difficult to focus on the jokes when you have that kind of visual detail to pay attention to, but the jokes were there.
