I missed Ruby, too. She was a lot of fun and it seemed like she got off to a better start with Shawn (of course, he wasn't being such an enormous d-bag in the beginning of that episode.

I would have just liked to see if she would have accepted the green apple Jolly Ranchers as an acceptable substitute.

Yeah, often it seems like they've forgotten he's supposed to be an awesome detective and not just a joke factory. I liked that he seemed to be doing some slight investigation in this one among his tantrum-ing.

Totally agree with you about Haven.

I saw another comment on the "What's On Tonight" for this Wednesday about needing to boost numbers for Psych on the site. Are the numbers not the same as White Collar, a show I put in the same category of fun, frivolous procedural lite? At least, the comment numbers for the episode reviews seem to be the same on

I'm really excited my favorite show is back on the air, and I'm just as excited to be posting on the AV Club again. Usually I am just a lurking thing. However, I'm saving this episode for my birthday (it's Saturday, and it's so close to the premiere date I figured what the hell) so I'll be back then to read and

It cracks me up that Lassiter would even know about that movie, much less be so well informed on  it. Maybe he has a creepy animatronic bear fetish? That whole movie really just reminds me of going to Showbiz Pizza as a kid and being afraid of Billy Bob the hillbilly bear.

That's true; it was a pretty good callback. I think my problem is that I can't put Andy Berman into a guest character role in my head anymore now that I know who he is. He'll always be Andy Berman, one of the kooky writers for the show that is often an MC at Comic con and special events, so when he appears in the show

Yes, the unconscious swaying, and how it got more pronounced the longer the scene went on, was gold.

An okay episode, kind of boring — I was pretty checked out by the end, though there were, as usual, some great lines. Woody is definitely better as a weird-o in the background with an occasional shining moment than the whole subject of an episode, but I sort of blame this on the story being more about Grace, the

Thank you! Since I've never heard of them, my poor brain couldn't translate.

Me too. There was one that I couldn't catch though. There was "you and the Pips" and the "Barry White" one, but there was one early on in the police station that I couldn't understand what he said. Anyone know?

Poor Gus, everybody always throws him under the bus first.

Love the "probable cause door-kicking shoes" line. Tim O. always has the best delivery.

Gus' z-snaps in the hospital when Shawn told him not to confront the bad guy were hilarious. I don't think I've ever seen him do that before.

True. But he can smash a vase into his face with the best of them.

I just wanted to comment so I can be a part of this historic event, the triumphant return of Community to the airwaves, and the awesomeness of watching a Community thread balloon up to nine pages before I can even watch the episode (since I have to DVR it and watch it Friday mornings). My Friday mornings are special

"She's pro-anti" was my favorite line of the show. Hands down. It perfectly describes Britta and Jeff's offhand delivery was great.

He's been doing it since way back in Season 2 (like in "Psy Vs. Psy") when he was scrawny, so I doubt it.

But they are the docudramas of our lives!
