TIME WARP!
I KNOW WHO WINS THESE AWARDS! Now Julianne Moore is going to enlist my future-vision to stop a devastating terrorist attack that happens in LESS THAN 24 HOURS!

Originally the second episode?
According to the New Yorker review of Justified from a few weeks back, this was originally presented to critics as the show's second episode. That would have explained Raylan having to justify his swiftly rising body count in the actual episode two. Still, he needs to start winging

I have seen them four times, and three of those have been a face-melting, ear-punching delight. The other, lesser performance was still pretty good. And I don't even smoke dope. Stoned, I imagine that their live show would be fucking astounding.

Scenes in diners
Movie scenes set in diners always make me want coffee, bacon, and pancakes, whether they're set in the morning or not. Diner (duh), Reservoir Dogs, hell, even The Hitcher…there's just something amazing about the taste (and iconography) of the American diner breakfast, and film tends to amplify that a

Crossed did end up being good, (un)clean fun.

Jeph Loeb is the reason I can't read The Incredible Hulk anymore. (Well, him and the fact that "The Incredible Hulk" technically no longer exists.) His stuff is just so everlovin' STUPID.

It wasn't really that bad.
Made-up slang aside, I enjoyed myself. I think my rock-bottom expectations going in may have helped.

Dead heat between "Cape Feare" and "Itchy & Scratchy Land"

I would consider going gay for Rob Lowe, but only Rob Lowe in Youngblood.

Speaking of LoSH, we mustn't forget the oh-so-70s attire of DAWNSTAR!

Alien Legion!(?)
It skirts the edge of the 1986 cutoff, but the first Alien Legion series (starting around '83) is another great transitional step into the "grittier" fare of the late 1980s.

Agreed…a hardcover/tpb reissue of the original Elementals run would be the SHIT. But only if they included a cover gallery.

Once was one time too many. I hate the bag outta this film.

I love the damn Eagles, but I love Creedence more. So I still feel myself wrapped in the loving bosom of The Dude.

Heller, I feel your Eagles pain.
My girlfriend tries to explain it away by claiming that "everyone from California likes the Eagles," but the fact is that a) I've been living in New York City for well over a decade; and b) as a rock journalist, I'm supposed to "know better." But I still can't deny that I really,

No way this is as good…
…as 'The Ninth Circle.'
