The bajoran plotlines being vegetables thing, I totally understand. I felt the same when it was on TV. Since going through DS9 again (once or twice) I really appreciated them that much more, can't really explain why though.

Yeah, that and the P&theP both paved the way for much worse stupid plots, but are actually both funny as hell.

It doesnt really matter if the kids grow up. These books take place over years anyway. Its not like Lost where three seasons was like, 90 days or something. Also, in the case of Arya, Sansa and Bran it fits with their Arc too, forced into growing up an all that…

I agree, I'm more than happy with the changes so far (in fact the Tywin/Arya scenes were my favourite of the series - just cause they were new). But I worry that with the later books there's only so much fat to trim, pieces on a board that you cant cut it all!

@HobbesMkii:disqus I imagine it'd be the other way around. With the red wedding in season 3 and the Awesome wedding (hehe) in season 4 as that IS at the end of the book.
