Between this episode and the Liars, Guns, and Money trilogy, the Scorpius tongue-sex thing has just made him a million times creepier than he was before.

Great point on how Aeryn's funeral reveals how much the other Moyans care about her too (and her death scene too; they all react horribly). D'Argo giving Aeryn his Qualta blade is about as big a testament as he can give to how much he cared about her.
It seemed like John-Scorpius got less fake-Peacekeeper-y and more Scorpian as the episode went on. By the time he was condemning Aeryn, it really did sound like Scorpius channeled through John.
In fairness to @avclub-d3cbca5cf7aa6bc8c2fc67fbf2013b6a:disqus, Alasair's review does kind of make it clear Aeryn is not off the show at this point. I'm a newb and it's not even that spoilerific to me.
Well, this newbie is most definitely watching the first episode of season 3 this afternoon. After that I'll be good and take the hiatus, but there is no way I am leaving that cliffhanger for 2+ months. Noooo way.
Jothee reminded me a lot of teenage Alexander when he makes an appearance on DS9 (this is not a good thing). Still better than TNG Alexander, I guess …
That's the kind of hand-wavey answer I can get behind!
My vote's for LGaM as the superior three parter (not that it's a contest, and both were great). I think LatP suffered somewhat from keeping each Moyan in a separate plot that didn't always cross paths, whereas in LGaM all of them are on the same team, with the same goal, and they each contribute (more or less). Plus,…
I agree. I was having so much fun with the "getting the gang together" bits that I didn't realize how hilariously improbable the space geography would be until I read Alasdair's review. Guess I'm good at suspending my disbelief.
I definitely noticed the amazing guest star-return rate during Part 2 and was pleased Alasdair mentioned it! There are definitely few shows who could pull that many people back a year plus after they last appeared. And I loved all the machinations and plotting to bring them together - the whole three parter was…
Thank you for this wonderful empathetic story (which also encourages my fear of stilettos). I didn't dislocate my foot, but the search and rescue people who carried me off the trail did take a picture of it, which at least obviated my fear of being a malingerer!
Hmmm … interesting question!
Thanks, all!
Freak backpacking accident - in spite of my love of AVClub, I'm actually (usually) a very outdoorsy, active person, so the prospect of keeping my ankle above my heart (!!) for 2 straight weeks is a tough order; I'm happy it's a week where I can watch 3 Farscape episodes instead of 2, actually.
I also thought the image of Pilot foaming at the mouth afterwards was one of the best scenes yet in the "I can't believe that's a puppet" category of Farscape awesomeness.
Sad to say I've been holed up in bed with a broken ankle for the last week, and I have NEVER been more excited about the onslaught of Farscape commentary. This is the highlight of my weekend, guys! Sigh …
These are the most intriguing non-spoilers ever! Slash a little concerning for next week …
@avclub-eb058ced22520c3a8f4e4a6e2fb16403:disqus While it is a Rashomon throw-back, I think "A Matter of Perspective" was pretty unambiguous in showing the other peoples' recollections as untrue. And in general, I like that Riker is always portrayed as very feminist and interested in enjoying mutually consensual sex…
D'Argo does usually seem like an adolescent - the way Zhaan treats him, his temper and selfishness, his horniness - but I find that really hard to reconcile with his more domestic past and search for Jothee. Perhaps watching later episodes will make that seem more consistent to me, but for now that bugs me a little…
I was out of town for the discussion of WGFA, but it was an incredibly fun mindfrell whose total weirdness just … worked. I liked it a lot more than "Crackers don't matter," which was the mindfrell episode these boards made me aware of. Can't wait to see more!
