Broad City, Better Call Saul, Silicon Valley; all just around the corner. Looks like someone needs to get his DirecTV account paid-up and current

I think you meant your favorite Charles Manson song.
An Abracastabya notification for this!?! FOR THIS!?!?!
For all my pop culture leanings, I'm woefully ill informed when it comes to pop/R&B. I always only associated her with daughter/dad duet, and had no idea how many big songs she was part of. RIP lady.
Wha?! Damn…
Yes sir, that was my point; they want all the clicks. I'm not saying that's a particularly nefarious thing, but yes, as journalists, they avoid including anything that may preclude a reader before he/she has had a chance to at least preview the first paragraph of an article.
Well I think you kind of answered your own question on this one Jacob Henner; "Not my platform? SKIP ARTICLE!!".
Hope Paul Giamatti shines in this new series. Hollywood has a weird way of chewing up great actors by making them the flavor of the month, then largely ignoring them for an extended period. Remember that two-year period right around Sideways when Giamatti could no wrong? What happened? Is it just audience fatigue? I'm…
Oh, I loved it. The Warriors just made a stronger impression to us at the time (We were ten). COI's visuals were years ahead of their time, and I have to imagine the movie played a strong influence on the set designers for Conan the Barbarian. Great movie to watch when you're high as a kite.
Maybe because the entire family gets together, you see all the kids one last time before, well, you know… Sorry no jokes here, I honestly think that's what it is.
Jesus, MCO hell!
You ever hear the phrase, "So-and-so is not even a pimple on the ass of _____"? That thing, madam, is Axl Rose.
This ^^^. tmage nailed it right here. Lemmy was revered for the same reason that Cliff Burton was; 100%, real-deal, no bullshit, blue-collar rocker.
Good on them. The rock landscape is littered with bands that unwisely tried to soldier on after losing their most iconic member. It's insulting when they do, and Mikkey's statements, while heartbreaking, are spot on.
BTW… Anyone else here see this as a kid and think that street gangs in New York really dressed up in outrageous theme costumes?
Nah, I think he's describing Chariots of Fire.
Made my kids watch it earlier this year for the first time. I have a list of "required watching classics" that they are subjected to in order for them to grow up with a well rounded pop-culture sensibility, and sometimes I worry that one of the films I haven't watched in a while will not hold up as well as I remember.…
Do the Right Thing
Yes, but if you come out, be prepared to have a baseball bat shoved up your ass so you can be turned into a popcicle.
Saw the Warriors by accident when it made it's initial theater run. An uncle, who was a bit of a spiritualist, took me and a few cousins to see it on a double bill with "Circle of Iron", a strange mash-up penned by Bruce Lee whereby a martial artist goes on a quest for the meaning of life. Both movies were great, but…
