Also, I guess Showtime still holds the rights to a Weaveworld miniseries that was supposed to shoot like ten years ago. Seems with the new higher budgets and popularity of cable series like Penny Dreadful, the time has come to blow the dust off this one, Showtime?

Sadly, I think the straight-to-DVD thing has tainted the Clive Barker brand, and Hollywood is very reluctant to give any of his other properties a try.

Oops, misspelled Goatse.

More like Yvette No Regrets, amirite?!

When my son was in kindergarten, one of their first projects was to make a poster that would introduce them to their classmates (my favorite food is ____, my favorite color is _____ etc…). One kid listed his favorite movie as Freddy vs Jason, and guess which student proved to be the biggest bully/distraction for the

Yeah, pretty much.

Saw Hellraiser in the theater on its initial run, but probably four or so weeks after its premier. Me, two friends, and one other solo movie-goer were the only souls in the place. By about the 45 minute mark, all four of us, random guy included, were laughing uproariously at the screen because of the horrific acting.

I thought I was the only one interested in a film adaptation of Carlos Castaneda's work, though you really would need to start with the Teachings of Don Juan. Juan Matus is such a wonderful, fully-rounded character; the right actor could do wonders with that role.

No worries, I left two years ago to go back to school. I still keep in touch with a lot of my newsie friends, and there have reportedly been some positive changes; a new managerial regime that put in some stricter standards in regards to workplace behavior. As for those I formally battled with, we really are good

Thanks Buzz, no offense taken, but please let me clarify a few of your counterpoints. Producers are nowhere near being the "boss" in any news station. You are thinking of the news director and station manager. I am not the type to manage my crew by force; the situations I described above were always in response to

Kind of hard to avoid a racist result when the guy you're impersonating sounds an awful lot like Samuel L. Jackson.

Ten year veteran of local TV news here, and that is a pretty spot-on assessment. As a news producer (who never wore anything more fancy than jeans and a ball cap to work), I've nearly come to blows with my chief meteorologist, and told more than a few anchors and photogs to go fuck themselves.

I really enjoyed Mirman's earlier stuff, but his standup has been wearing thin in recent years; maybe too many "whimsical" customer service rants?

The guy's last name is Fanny? That would suck to grow up as a fanny; not very good fortune.

Sit tight Tracy. Mr. Cosby has some freelance work for you.

I was just thinking about Lisa Bonet the other day. One has to wonder; was any of that pretentious split from the show related to an unwanted behind-the-scenes sexual advance?

That's right Bill… Go get your fucking shoeshine box!

She makes several.

Who's got time for podcasting when you're cranking out a documentary/stand-up special once per month?

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think Schumer's stand-up is pretty great, as is Silverman's.
