Yeah I figured that's what kept him from hosting, but is he really that sour (grapes) over his bad experience 30 years ago? A shame, he'd do well, with decent material, I think. Pret-ty pret-ty pret-ty good at improv, he'd fit right in.

Why aren't they trying to get funny people to host a show that's supposed to be funny? That'd make sense to try, no?
I'd like to see Ricky Gervais, Larry David, Glenn Howerton, Adam Scott, Aziz Ansari, (ya know what, anyone from Parks & Rec), Danny McBride (or Steve Little!) host. Did any of them actually host and I…
Hahaha…. that's not funny. :-[
The ending never made sense to me. (SPOILERS!!!)
Ok so the "twist" is the girl is really a boy. So THAT causes him/her to kill? Does that make sense, am I missing something?
I guess I should probably chime in with my opinion on the whole blackface thing too, seems to be a hot topic here. TOO hot. No but really, c’mon… Murtaugh is black and by dressing the way he did, Mac looked much more like him, in his mind. Riggs had long hair, so by wearing a long-haired wig, Dennis looked much more…
C+? Nah this was a B+ at worst, maybe even an A-.
I can relate to Kevin with the automatic faucets, I've looked like an idiot just like him waving around under a faucet trying to get it to turn on, very frustrating. It's a shame society can't even be trusted to turn on and off water appropriately that automatic faucets…
Next week is the season finale??? Nooo I thought it was supposed to be back to a 13-episode season this year! I'm not ready to say goodbye for another 10 moths yet
I don't know why I keep forgetting stuff like Daybreakers and Cabin in the Woods, BOTH of which I saw in theaters and enjoyed quite a bit. Maybe not to the level of the classics from the 80s and earlier, but still head and shoulders above most current horror movies.
Definitely scared me as a kid….and still even a little now!
Ooh I'll have to check it out, thanks. That also reminded me of House of 1000 Corpses, which I admit, I also liked quite a bit.
Of course. Guy is just a good director all around, really. Even Centurion and Doomsday were wayyyy better than they had any right to be, or than I had expcted. He's a director who I will follow, no matter what subject matter. I think he's doing another Thrones actually, right?? If not, he should.
Oh yeah, The Descent… That was good. Forgot that director's other movie too, Dog Soldiers, probably the best werewolf movie since the 80's.
Right, 28 Days (AND the surprisingly good sequel, Weeks) Later are also much better than most current horror.
Not a lot of people I know enjoy The Mist, but it just hit my sweet…
Well-said. The current state of horror movies is pure shit. This was one of the better horror movies of the 2000's. I can't even think of many more. The Mist, Slither, Dawn of the Dead remake was pretty good, umm….
Nope, nothing else. Don't give a shit about the haunted/possesed/ghost ones either. I miss real horror…
Wow not one but TWO Simpsons references by the GoT guys. Maybe they should write an episode for them too? Has to be funnier than the stuff their regular writing staff has been coming up with for the past…long time.
One of my personal favorite horror movies, if not for the pretty awesome special effects alone. I despise the poor CGI shit horror movies of today and miss the real, on-camera effects of the 70s, 80s, 90s. I don't care what anyone says, if you saw Pumpkinhead coming at you, you'd shit yourself, piss yourself, cry… etc.
But they would just CGI the whole damn thing, from Pumpkinhead to Pumpkintoe, just like they did with The Thing remake, so no thanks. Fuckin CGI…
I actually saw that movie back in 2010 when that all-horror movie channel still existed. Of course when I saw his name in the credits, all I could think about was this episode. Of course.
Mac is the Sheriff of Paddy's!
No mention of this in the review or any comments, which is understandable because it’s a much more subtle moment, but I loved Charlie’s couldn’t-care-less responses to Frank as he is rambling about people and hair and how dirty everyone and everything is. He’s sitting at the bar, his back to Frank, eating chips or…
This is how the scene with Carrie and the doctor played in my head:
