The part that made me groan was Echo outrunning the explosion in slow motion. I can't believe they did that.

He's busy going to the movies and stuff.
Wow. I didn't realize it was only four episodes. Yeah, I'll pass on that, too.
I didn't know he had a cameo in the movie. That's awesome/sad.
There's a hint to the Snake Eyes / Storm Shadow connection. Even a flashback to them both fighting as eight-year-olds, but it is not related to the comic at all.
Laff-a-Lympics comes out on DVD in a few weeks. Maybe he should review it!
The Comics
As a kid I was a HUGE fan of the comics. The only aspect of the comics that carried over was the connection between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow and eve that was whacked.
The cartoon was voiced by the late Chris Latta, and it is incorrect for Cobra Commander to have any other voice.
Hey She's Funny
She's always funny when she's on Craig Ferguson. Interpret that line anyway you wish.
Scrappy's Playhouse
I just watched the episode "Scrappy's Playhouse" which is a lot like MST3K. Scrappy sneaks into a theater and it's playing all old public domain and old school Mighty Mouse cartoons with commentary by Scrappy.
I loved this show
I had the window sticker figures from McDonalds or Wendys or whoever did the tie-in. There were Mighty Mouse, Pearl, Scrappy, Bat Bat, The Cow, and Bald Pete figures. I wonder if I still have those somewhere.
There's a whole bunch of stuff on non-region 1 DVD. My lowly DVD player only plays region 1 though. It's an upconverting DVD player, but still only region one. :(
King of the Road
I have managed to utterly resist it. Where's my medal?
My list also includes Song of the South and Neighbors. plus, Corruption, Los Olividados, anything by Bruce Conner, The Dybbuk, A Forieghn Affair, Johnny Guitar, King of Alcatraz, The Mother and the Whore, Zero for Conduct, Paperhouse, Skippy, Island of Lost Souls, Chimes at Midnight, Cul-De-Sac, Deep End, The…
Finally
Now, they just need to do a **proper** release of THE DEAD, and my John Huston DVD collection will be complete.
It doesn't get to me until late February.
I was thinking about stopping the Wrapped Up in Books thing (or at least taking a break), but Then We Came to the End sounds interesting to me, so I'm going to be reading at least one more of these.
That shot is pretty awesome. It has stayed with me, too.
Return to Oz is awesome. If this movie takes a similar approach, it could be awesome, too.
My Top Movies of the year
