also, how many different words do you need for jew
"I'll never forget the time I spent playing keyboard in the revolution"
Well, ok. If you're going to be a dick about it.
I don't know that it's a great bit, but I love the extended crypt keeper laughter anyways
There are great reporters/writers at all the major papers, so it would be ridiculous, imo, to swear off the NYT or even WSJ. Columnists are a different beast there though. But I read plenty of news from mainstream sources. The Guardian is good.
Pretty sure Alex Jones would say Noam is a globalist. "This guy was raised by globalists—the people who run the media, the demons who indoctrinate their kids with chocolate gold coins. Chomsky grew up celebrating all the globalist holidays: Yom Kippur, Passover.."
I'm saving your Maddow criticism so that I can shove it in your face 6 months from now, when she, on live TV, breaks into the secret Nazi vault containing Trump's tax returns
it's tough, because The Colbert Report was formative for me
I think the lefty-left fell out of love with Oliver a little during the election. The drumpf thing was dumb. And the complaint(meme?) that his satire isn't really "eviscerating" anything has been around for at least a year, though that's not really fair. Except with the Drumpf hat thing, because it was so bad.
Chris Hayes was the only guy I saw with good takes on this. Everyone else suddenly fell in line
Just talking about his coverage of the French election, I've gradually noticed Oliver's tendency to punch left from time to time, to buy into the false equivalencies and horseshoe theory garbage. Delegitimizing Melenchon, making him the horseshoe equivalent to LePen is some bullshit, especially coming from the guy…
Without a doubt Alex Jones is a fake. He's a snake oil salesman. He literally sells testosterone pills. Come the fuck on.
I'd like to think he'd have abandoned comedy for making UFO videos, like Dan Akryod
Doing that, I think you generally have to pick situations where the reality of what he's saying/talking about is incongruent with his tone, which is unnaturally cautious and precise. I'd argue that the other big Key and Peele thing, college Obama, did exactly this. He's talking about getting more pussy at a party with…
number two
nailed it
Dave Chapelle has notably complained about the same thing
I'm so bored by new Colbert. Even his stuff that goes viral is boring.
