I think there's a lot of fine humor poking fun at "lefties"- and it's often done by lefties themselves (or at least libetarians, moderates, etc.) 30 Rock, South Park, even TDS and TCR make some pretty funny jokes at the left's expense.

I think Amy's story was supposed to be that she was a woman who wasn't ready to marry and just wanted a life of adventure. As such, it wasn't so much that she loved the Doctor (and certainly not that he loved her in the same way) as it was that he was her ticket out, and that was exciting enough to confuse with

I really love when the criticism of the show is, "Well, the Doctor never did that BEFORE."I mean, yes, exactly, that's why this is a new episode. I'd say that if you only want to see the Doctor do things exactly the way he's done them before, you should just watch those episodes…expect the BBC has kinda fucked up a

I'd really like to check out the alternate reality where Tennant stayed aboard for Moffat's run. They obviously meshed pretty well already, but it'd be cool to see how 10 handled these plots.

Err, Season 3 was pretty much all about how the Doctor was still pining over Rose. And the word "Stalking" is doing quite a bit of work there- he lands in her back yard when she's five, promises to take her on an adventure, screws up the timing and doesn't come back until she's fully grown and decides to travel with

"while most viewers are like me, we just like it kind of old school and simple?"

I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how the 11/Moffat era is more political than the 9/10/RTD one. Seasons 1-4 had politicians as recurring characters and RTD's (completely valid and justified) fascination with sexual politics. I guess Seasons 5-7 have had Churchill and Nixon, but the show has been way more

I thought it was going to be "children", which pretty well shoulda worked like a charm.

Even for Dark Phoenix, his original idea was to have her captured and tortured on an asteroid for eternity or something.

That feels like a really ironic statement to put in the introduction for a book made by Frank Miller.
