Has Neil Flynn been ill or something? I thought he was looking a bit gaunt last night. He usually looks fairly brawny (no doubt the root of the unexpected crush I've had on him since Scrubs).

He must have a certain pan-gender attraction, judging by the comments. Which is good because I thought me and one of my exes were weird by both having a crush on him.

Ugh, I know the one you mean. Horrible (in a cinematically cheering way), seedy, unpleasant scene in a movie which is very often all three of those things and yet still manages to be totally engaging, as well as effortlessly funny.

I always thought that the movie parodies were the most consistently solid. Apart from Went With The Wind (the curtain moment is probably my favourite comedy bit ever, makes me laugh like an ugly jackal every single time), they did a very good parodies of Double Indemnity and The Little Foxes (can you imagine a cable

Never did I think there would be an appropriate moment to mention Fred Stoller's intense resemblance to the guy who played Josh in 30 Rock in a casual conversation.

My younger brother one said "Mott the Hopple" and we all mocked him semi-relentlessly for days. I'm going to be nicer to the AV Club, because it has given me more than family or friends ever could.

So, to be clear, we are NOT talking the Burt Lancaster movie?

Huh. I hadn't heard the Gotye or the Fun song before, and yet I've heard Call Me Maybe a million times. I wonder why this is? I don't generally listen to pop radio and although I occasionally venture into a club, I guess that isn't the sort of music you'd here there. As a pop-culture person, it kind of freaks me out

How on earth does TCM America get stuff I've wanted to see for donkey's years, while the TCM UK schedule has gone 'Rawhide - The Young Lions - Harsh Times - The Long Kiss Goodnight'  every single day for the past three years?

The Roaring Twenties is in the top 5 greatest American films of all time, in my opinion. Watch it, even if you have to murder everyone else in your house (because no-one wants to watch a 1930s film). James Cagney was truly the finest actor who ever graced the screen.

Hints which occasionally boil over into outright obviousness, making for fascinatingly uncomfortable viewing… Also, I googled George and Lynne after I read your comment to read a few old strips and found this gem: http://georgeandlynneexplai… and thought I'd share.
