Fuck yeah! I love Lovecraft. "The Rats in the Walls" and "The Whisperer in the Darkness" are fantastic.

Dear Ms. @violincatherine:disqus ,
Cheep! Cheep Cheep Cheep!
I think the whole of Stars Hollow feels like they raised Rory. Lorelai, a teenage mother with no visible family support is taken in and supported by the town. So they all feel a sense of pride or something when it comes to Rory.
One of the brilliant (and deep) ironies of Gilmore Girls is that Lane did not have to keep much of anything secret from her mother. Mrs. Kim was incredibly supportive of Lane (and revealed a past as a member of an all-girl singing group herself). Honestly, I don't seek Mrs. Kim having a problem with Lane being a…
Part of the problem with Richard and Emily (but most noticeably with Richard) is that they have wildly exaggerated ideas of what success should look like. At the start of the series, Lorelai is the executive manager of a large, successful and prestigious hotel. And let's throw Luke in as well, he's the owner of a…
I find it difficult to believe that any episode not featuring fucking Logan is the worst episode.
Today I launched a ship called Hope
Made of the sturdiest oak harvested from forests both ancient, proud and beauty-filled
Tall, sturdy masts holding up crisp, white sails of hemp held fast by sinewy ropes
A ship called Hope
Despite my doubts and fears, how easily she did glide from her moorings into the waiting sea…
Some people (like me) were hooked almost immediately. Other people it takes time. Enlightened sort of seeps into your brain, and requires a little time to percolate. You have to get adjusted to the pacing and unique point of view, but it is incredibly rewarding.
Well, the whole point of that cricket plot is that they had no clue what cricket was (which seems deeply weird to me that no one in that office had ever played/watched cricket).
THE LOGIC DOES NOT COMPUTE!
Number of Emmys Laura Dern has won for Enlightened: 0
Number of Emmys Community has won in any category: 0
Number of Emmys Parks and Recreation has won in any category: 0
I am so pissed neither Ashley Rickards nor Beau Mirchoff will get Emmy nominations.
She has a racist parrot!
Twitter has managed to make everything pretty insane. I would get about 20 tweets about the Texas filibuster and then someone talking about getting a sandwich. It was incredibly surreal.
Context is everything. If, for example, the Call of Duty developers were essentially trolling the audience by showing how sociopathic people are (not merely in the context of the game, but by what people say to each other via their microphones), it would be incredibly elaborate performance art. But I doubt that is the…
@avclub-98770eaf6ff8ad30a23849d7b81b97a1:disqus asked a serious question which deserves a serious response. There is an entire branch of philsophy concerned with the nature of art. But it really boils down the fact that all art exists to convey some sort of meaning through a creative enterprise from artist to…
Super Mario Bros. 3 is, Ecco the Dolphin is, I am not sure about any other video games.
Sweet irony!
