They're "donations" in the sense that after you "donate" him some money he "donates" the music to you. In other words, communism.

Well, let me just say that I think Mike Doughty is great (I love his latest solo album) and I'm really looking forward to this thing. So there!

Oh man, that's some hilarious stuff. Here is a link to save other people 5 seconds.

I watched that and thought it was funny. Then I read people on the Internet thinking it was all real, or at least the parts in front of the audience. I'm really baffled that anyone could think it wasn't all planned out. Of course I don't know everything about cable networks but it seems impossible that Comedy Central

I think the most surprising thing they could do on Justified would be to keep Johnny Crowder alive. Of course, they're probably going to disprove me by killing him in a surprising manner.

In German it would be "Gatemouth"… not as exciting.

When I saw this Inventory I thought, "Oh, I wonder if 10,000 Maniacs will be on here," then I thought, "No, that wouldn't make sense because Natalie Merchant was long gone when she made her debut album," and now I'm just confused.

I finished reading New Spring by Robert Jordan. It's the prequel to his Wheel Of Time series and one of the last things he wrote. Having just finished that series I realized I wanted more so I got that one. I enjoyed it quite a bit, although it started out very slowly and ended very abruptly. There was so much more to

What the hell happened at Harrenhall? Dozens of Robb's men were killed, apparently before he got there, and now he seems to have control over the place. Was I not paying as close attention to the dialogue as I thought, or did they just throw a bunch of stuff at us without explaining it?

The first episode had a cold open. On the DVD commentary they said they were going to have the first episode of season 2 also be a cold open but they decided against it.

Ian McShane and Ciaran Hinds have melded into the same person in my mind.

This title, I don't understand it. Shouldn't it be either "dun dun dun-dun-dun dun dun-dun-dun dun" or "dun dun dun-dun-dun dun dun-dun-dun"?

I'm disappointed to learn that that episode of Hang Up And Listen isn't really about They Might Be Giants or The Killers.

I was watching the original British version of House Of Cards and the worst part about it was the character who was supposed to be American. He didn't sound anything like an American! I guess British accent technology has improved a lot since 1990.

Well then, let's turn this into another thread about Herzog! I was just reminded that Encounters At The End Of The World is excellent. It might even be my favorite film but I'll have to watch it again to be sure.

Sure, he had no choice but to paste a thousand words for everyone to scroll past. Just because one person is an idiot doesn't mean the person opposing them isn't also an idiot.

Yeah, after reading that and watching this I'm convinced that the story of the making of Fitzcarraldo could itself be a great film (starring Nicolas Cage as Klaus Kinski and Paul F. Tompkins as Werner Herzog?). As interesting as Fitzcarraldo itself is, the story behind it is infinitely more interesting.

Goddammit, I was looking forward to talking about this and now the comments are dominated by a fucking moronic circle jerk. As annoying as Disqus can be, I'm glad for the "collapse thread" option so it's not completely ruined. Otherwise I'd be on a plane to Malaysia on a personal mission to hunt down and destroy Mohd

"a bunch of stuff you didn’t watch"… damn, I was hoping that meant Treme.

I saw him on an episode of Childrens Hospital last year.
