I loved Emerson in his final confrontation with Jacob. I felt for one of the first times we were getting a true look into a man who believed deeply in what he has doing. He seemed so broken.

Wouldn't I have to get a doctorate first?

BOOM. Lost.

It would seem to have something to do with HIS not being able to kill Jacob, but possibly not extending to having Jacob killed by another. Obviously it's more complicated in that, possibly dealing with having transferred his soul or essence or what have you into the body of another.

He did, he touched them both on the shoulder.

Jack sure took that nut shot like a champion. I don't think I would have been able to move for an hour, let alone get in a gunfight and try to detonate the core of an H-bomb.

I kind of wish Rose and Bernard had stayed lost.
I know this is small potatoes compared to everything else that happened tonight, but I'm going to let those better at articulating themselves handle the big things.

Could the Statue be Sobek?
Read some people theorizing about possible gods the statue could be other than Anubis, and came across this on wiki:

Maybe if they killed off Kate they could use the freed up salary money to up the CG budget.

The Island is Atlanta. The sixth season is going to be the Losties getting jobs at CNN and the Coca-Cola bottling factory.

I can understand being more interested in the characters being characters than in the mythological/mysterious stuff, but I think you're giving too little credit to the Island as the prime motivating factors for these changes. I think the logic that these people should go back and face the lives they were "meant" to

I think Locke is going to get killed once in the first hour of the finale, and then three more times in the second hour.

I'm with Noel about Juliet. I've loved her since the time she first appeared, and have never really stopped. "Not in Portland" is one of my favorite episodes based almost entirely on the strength of Elizabeth Mitchell's performance.

I agree. I wouldn't even venture to guess who (or what) Jacob is, but I think that he is an actual existent entity. I'm more inclined to think that Richard and Ben's worrying was due to them not being completely honest over what kind of relationship they actually have with Jacob.

I don't know, I think people are giving Ben too much credit for what he does and doesn't know. We're so used to him having all of the answers, being one step ahead, that it's hard for us to believe that there are things he doesn't know. I think we're seeing a major power shift here. It was exemplified in John and

Everyone knows that season 7 is the zombie season.

I'd argue that that's reason enough to remember the rabbit. Who'd he attack? I dunno, some president.

I had the same thought, that Widmore's concern about her going had a lot to do with the condition of their unborn child.

Along those lines: maybe Richard, instead of being some kind of benevolent spokesman for Jacob and the Island, is actually part of a different order altogether, one that is bent on keeping the powers of the Island subjugated.

Who the hell is Walt?
