Did he say his name was Bram? I could have sworn I heard "Ram", but maybe my mind is still stuck in Egyptian mode from last week's episode.

Maybe I'm Just a Little Humorless But…
I've never really gotten into Hurley as a character. Maybe it's that he so often serves as a surrogate character for the audience, and that kind of reflexivity grates against me when it comes to Lost. I admit to laughing at a number of lines throughout the series, and even in…
I'm thinking it's much more likely that Richard has a direct line into Jacob, or that he was consulted at some point after Richard took Ben into the Temple.
Maybe she wasn't ready to share with a complete stranger the exact circumstances that led to the abduction of her child. Lying as a way to gloss over traumatic experiences is definitely a survival technique. Saying more would have just precipitated a bunch more questions she wouldn't be able to answer.
I think Ben is either going to end up not being able to deal with Locke as a leader and is going to be destroyed by the Monster OR he'll give his own life to save John for the greater good of the Island.
Ben knows where the TEMPLE is, he just didn't seem to know that the Monster inhabited the caverns beneath it.
I think you're taking the code concept a little too seriously. All it is at heart is a fun way for the writers to refer to the shocking reveals at the end of the season. They're not necessarily supposed to be indicative of what's going on. It's just a way to blow off some steam.
I always chocked that up to Rousseau being a little crazy/a liar. I think she generally explained less than she actually knew, as she was generally distrustful of people.
The Island was the only thing keeping Widmore's hair on. When he left it just slid off his head in one gigantic clump. It was subsequently used for every fake hairpiece we've seen on Lost so far.
John does seem to have a very unique relationship with Smokey from pretty early on. It scans and leaves him unfazed at a time when it's ripping other people to pieces. Then it tries to pull him underground, but for what purpose, we're not sure.
I have a feeling that there's a lot more to the Dharma Initiative than we've seen up to this point. We've had a lot of goofy running around by a bunch of hippies, sure, but that can't be the whole thing. I mean, somehow they found the Island in the first place, and I'm guessing that there are a bunch of higher ups…
I don't think we really know anything about Widmore's motivations for the Island at all. We know he feels usurped by Ben, and that he wants to get back badly, but we haven't really seen much to indicate that his plans are any more nefarious than Ben's.
I know! And then one of them is going to get fucking capped by Juliet. I can't wait.
I really liked "The Fifth Toe". It seemed to be Darlton's favorite as well. They were surprised when it didn't make it.
Agreed. I'll never understand why this show relies so much on CGI at times when they obviously don't have the budget for it.
Sensei, I agree in regards to Ben overplaying the deception to Cesar. It seemed like an uncharacteristic bit of weak acting by a usually stellar Michael Emerson. I just thought it seemed so forced. Like, "REALLLYY????? HMMMMM, WE BETTER NOT TRUST THAT GUY! WINK WINK".
I want to say that this explanation fits TOO well. It seemed like the writers were totally setting us up for a definitive "Locke IS the Monster" scenario, but I'm not so sure about it. It wouldn't seem to make much sense for Alex/Monster to threaten Ben about killing Locke if he was just another iteration of the…
I don't know how he knew specifically about the Temple, but we did see him get nearly pulled underground by the Monster in the first season. So he might have had at least some knowledge of it. It's obviously not the same hole, but I wonder how far the two locations are from one another.
At first I was annoyed by Locke's smugness, but I started loving him after his comment to Ben about not liking to ask questions to which you don't know the answer, and how that's how John has felt the entire time. It's nice to see him get some confidence and direction that's not bordering on fanatical.
I was more surprised by Ben's shock at the O6 being in the past. Was he lying about that as well? I both hate and love how much lying has to be taken into account anytime you talk about Ben's reaction to anything. I find it hard to believe that the picture has been hanging up in the Barracks for years and Ben never…
